A few weeks ago, I talked about defensive items for AD carries to deal with physical damage, but didn’t address how to itemize your carry against magic damage. It’s lategame and the enemy mage is reaching instagib levels of ability power. They’re saving their cooldowns for you and since getting exploded by Captain One-Shot over there isn’t conducive to winning the game, let’s talk about itemizing that one thing that will help you survive magic damage as an AD carry. Since Riot’s changed some of the itemization in 3.9, this article will help break down those changes.
Season 3 is winding down and it was a pretty momentous one for Riot. They’ve done a lot more than most people regularly give them credit for doing. However, even as the pros train towards the championship in the Staples Center and thousands of aspiring ladder-warriors grind out games in search of attaining that next division, you know Riot has to be thinking about what they should be doing between Season 3 and Season 4 to keep League of Legends being the massive success it is. I’m Eph289 and here are 4 interface improvements I’d like Riot to address in anticipation of Season 4. While there’s plenty of balance and gameplay issues that need to be worked on, I’m going to focus on improvements on the actual game client and user interface.
Today we’re going to talk about building armor and magic resist on Ryze. Ryze’s first two core items are both known and standard: he’s building Rod of Ages and Seraph’s Embrace, giving him a pile of AP, mana, and a bunch of health (HP and a shield). The follow-on items are usually resist items that give armor and magic resist along with some kind of secondary effect, particularly CDR. I’m Eph289, and today, we’re going to evaluate the different options available for Ryze to build resist items. Note that because Ryze gets more damage by building tanky, we usually want to consider items that have a secondary offensive benefit.
Have you ever reached that point in the game as an AD carry where you realize that you’re dying to physical damage more than you care to? Despite the kiting and lifesteal available to AD carries, sometimes, you need to throw in that one defensive item. I’m Eph289 and today, I’m going to compare four possible items for a ranged carry to help defend against physical damage.
Ever wonder how top-ranked players and professionals amass such high creep scores? Have you ever thrown out your wave-clear spell only to leave each caster minion with just a sliver of health? I’m Eph289 and today I’m going to continue my series on how to efficiently wave-clear on casters, this time with Diana. Each post in this series will focus on a champion that commonly solo lanes and how much AP or AD is needed for that champion to instantly clear the minions at different stages in the game. Let’s see how Diana can wave-clear.
