Zed, The Master of Middle Lane

What is up RoG readers? It has been a while since my last post, so let me apologize for that. School has been tough with exams and assignments BUT now that that is all done I am back to writing weekly blog posts again! I am going to continue following the trend from my last post where I am going to be talking about really cool and useful tips/facts on middle champs for you guy! Lately I have been absolutely loving Zed; I even have a smurf called Zedmercy now haha. Regardless, this post will teach you a thing or two about this beast assassin and hopefully improve your game play with him to another level!

So quickly, Zed is an AD assassin that is commonly seen in the middle lane, though he can be played in the jungle and top as well. His job is to, of course, assassinate the squishy targets on the enemy team with his crazy ultimate, Death Mark. Zed is a champion that, with the proper skills, can be used to make crazy outplays such as jukes, assassinations, and many things of that sort. Now, without much further ado, let us jump straight into some really neat tips for Zed.

Tips, Tricks, and Facts for Zed

As I mentioned, I will be talking about many tips that revolve around Zed, such as using his skills more efficiently, small did you knows, and overall tips that I hope will improve your assassination skills with this awesome champion. At the bottom of this post, after we are done talking about his skills and ways to play this champion, I also will include really cool lore facts about Zed that I am sure will satisfy some of you lore-craving fanatics :D.

NOTE: I will NOT be mentioning every single tip, but rather I will be talking primarily about the ones I feel are most beneficial and worthy of mention. For ALL of the tips, such as the more minor ones, I have included a link to my video which you can check out!

    Important to know your champions!

Hey RoG readers! First of all, let me apologize for not releasing a blog in a while, I have been extremely busy with school but now I have time to get this post up! This is a very exciting one, not only for you guys, but for myself as well as I have started a new series on my channel that I am going to talk to you guys about in text format here. This series is called Did You Know? and its purpose is to provide very useful tips and tricks for champions in the league, in hopes that it will expand your knowledge of the champion pool the game offers!

It is very important to know many different things about how a champion works, whether you are playing that champion or against. Knowing the skills a champion has and what it does may seem like it is enough information, but there is so much more to know that will vastly improve your performance with/against that champion. For example, taking TF as the example here, did you know that Banshees Veil can actually prevent Twisted Fate's ultimate from detecting you?

It is little things like this that can really help you in this game, and I am bringing this post and series to the public in order to get everyone this knowledge; honestly, I am learning things as I go as well. Without further ado, let us dive into the meat of this post.

Tips, Tricks, and Facts for Twisted Fate

There are many things to cover, yet keep in mind this does not include EVERY single aspect, though it does cover what I believe to be the essential ones to know. I have also added in a few lore facts at the very end of this post. These facts do not have anything to do with improving your mechanics with the champion; they are simply on a FYI bases for those interested.

    Middle Lane Strategies

What is up Reign of Gaming readers? I am back with yet another blog to talk with you guys about the middle lane. In this one, I want to focus more on the strategy aspects of laning and just being an overall better middle laner. There are many many different things that can be covered in this discussion, but let us move through this slowly. In this post I will be talking to you about 3 main aspects, and those are:

    • Proper ward positions
    • Shoving lane and taking enemy/allied wraiths
    • Leashing for the jungle, even with the new leashing mechanics

Each of these topics are very important and can really improve your overall game-play. Some of them might seem a little straight-forward or too easy NOT to do already, but maybe you will learn something. Don't forget, sometimes it is the easy things that end up being most beneficial/crucial.

    Ward Positions

Warding is probably one of the most important aspects of League of Legends. No lie, a single ward can determine the winner of a game in certain situations. Most people instantly think that it is the supports' job to ward, yet being smart enough to constantly keep your lane warded can honestly save you many deaths and even save you from losing your lane. A lot of players, even pro ones, have trouble remembering to keep their lane warded constantly and as a result even they die cause of it.

Now, I am unfortunately unable to say anything and somehow make everyone reading this instantly remember to always ward, I myself forget at times. However, I can give you tips as to where to place the wards that will give the most ideal vision. There are of course two sides to a game, the purple team and the blue. I have an image that illustrates the ward locations for each side. Let us begin with the purple team.

     Redmercy

    Quick intro about me:

Hey there! My name is Dmitry 'Redmercy' Garanin and I am a new blogger on Reign of Gaming. I am super excited to be part of this amazing team and bring quality content to the community. If you do not know me, I am mainly a YouTuber at youtube.com/redmercy and my goal as a blogger here is to discuss many different variant topics focusing primarily around the best lane ever...MIDDLE LANE!!!

I hope that many of you will tag along with me in this wonderful journey that is only beginning, and maybe we can teach each other new things and have thought out discussions on the topic(s) at hand! Without further ado, let us dive right into my first topic of discussion - winning solo queue games in the middle lane! I have been consistently hitting a top rating in solo queue of ~1950 season 1 and 2, so I am not a complete noob :). Hopefully my advice will help many of you climb your way up as well!

Also, at the end of each post I will have a champion of the week pick! This champion is someone I am favoring heavily and am loving at the moment. It is someone I'd probably recommend you guys check out as well! To see this weeks pick, scroll alllllllll the way to the bottom :)

    Solo Queue

First let's discuss a bit about solo queue. What is it? Pretty much, to me, it is a queue of individuals that are there to play for themselves and not participate as a team, even though League of Legends is a heavily team-oriented game. It is unfortunate indeed, but that does tend to be the case most of the time. So how do you win games? Well, you have to go in with the mindset of a carry. You must go in thinking, "I am going to carry my team" and not "Oh man..I hope someone carries me..". YOU must be the influential impact that your team needs to win and YOU must be the one that tries your best to carry.

There are of course multiple lanes in which you can try to fulfill this carry role, but in this topic and most of my posts I am going to be focusing mainly on the middle lane. In my opinion, there are 2 MAIN ways to carry with a new 3rd way emerging with the new meta. The 3 ways are as follows:

    • Being exceptionally good at 1-3 champions
    • Playing champions with global presence
    • AD/Assassin bruisers
