News just came across about Team Dignitas' jungle player IWillDominate getting the axe for repeated verbal harassment and other summoner's code infraction resulting in his account getting permanently banned from League of Legends. Furthermore Riot will extend this ban to the League of Legends Championship Series for a period of one year. This suspension shall commence immediately. Dignitas will have to search for a new jungle for the Riot salaried league, and it would only make sense that this would become a permanent replacement.
Update: @dignitasODEE has confirmed on twitter that with IWillDominate banned, he will be replaced from the team. No other changes for S3.

League of Legends Competition Ruling
Player: Christian Rivera / IWillDominate
Date of Ruling: 12.03.12
Subject: Suspension; Violations of Summoner’s Code
Facts:
Recently, IWillDominate was brought before the Tribunal for consideration of a permanent ban. The majority of players voted to punish and today the Riot player behavior team has approved the ban after review of the case.
IWillDominate has been in Tribunal nine times and punished eight times, including the most recent permanent ban. He has a persistent record of in-game harassment, verbal abuse, offensive language and negative attitude.
Despite the punishments and official warnings, his harassment score has risen more than 30% from early August to the present date, placing him at the top of the list of North American pro players and among the worst 0.7% of all North American players.
There also have been repeated incidents of similar behavior outside the game.
Relevant Rules:
The Summoner's Code establishes the standards of behavior for all League of Legends players.
Analysis:
IWillDominate has consistently engaged in behavior which violates the letter and spirit of the Summoner’s Code.
His persistent tendency to engage in verbal abuse and insults, his lack of cordial demeanor, and his treatment of less-skilled players is unacceptable for any player, especially a high-profile professional player who has a regular opportunity to lead the community by example.
Ruling:
IWillDominate has violated the letter and spirit of the Summoner’s Code in a systematic fashion.
Penalties:
IWillDominate is ineligible to play in the League of Legends Championship Series for a period of one year. This suspension shall commence immediately.
In addition, all other existing known accounts used by IWillDominate are permanently banned.
What do you think of the ruling RoG'ers?

Posted 12/23/2012 4:08:14 PMKnowing how to play the game has absolutely no bearing on your desire or lack thereof to play in a reasonably civil community.
And no, everyone won't be happy.

Posted 12/29/2012 11:09:34 AM^ No. learn to play like a proper human and noone will flame you. It's not too hard.
Go play normal games if you just "want to play in a reasonably civil community" noone gives a shit about normal games. In ranked games you're cancer of League if you're an idiot.

Posted 12/30/2012 4:09:07 AMI agree that people should aim to be better before doing ranked, but someone not playing well or having a bad game, is still no reason to treat them poorly. One should treat others with respect and decency, or else they lose that which they consider their humanity.

Posted 12/31/2012 12:08:14 AMThe fact that people still flame each other and their teams on pro players' streams is testament to the fact that even at the highest non-competitive levels, knowing how to play the game will not make everyone happy.

Posted 12/22/2012 9:36:57 AMRiot acts like they're the big boss, the police agents. Arrogant snitches. I literally don't like the company. Permbanning people, askin' 10 / 15+ euro's for skins. It makes me feel that they think they are running the gaming industry/market by their own. But seriously, which company will ban you for playing bad or flamin' ? Timebans okay, but permbans? Pathetic, (example; gg son = punishable). They need to be less harsh to other players, or just delete the ignore function. Insulting doesn't hurt anyone. If they keep banning people fairly easier with the day, than this game will be dead in like, a year? Thanks. Since a chinese company bought Riot games we can official them a sellout. Their expensive prices, harsh punish system compensated with much bugs, small love for the community and repetitive gameplay gives the game a nice amount of con's for a "rich but not innovative company"... No offense, just an opinion. :l

Posted 12/22/2012 10:34:16 AMIf it pisses you off that much... don't play. Riot gets to act like bosses because they own the game, they set the rules, and if you don't like it... act with your wallet.
Riot have said "we find this to be unacceptable" and are enforcing it. If you disagree... there's the door. There are other MOBAs. Go play Dota 2.

Posted 12/28/2012 6:25:09 AMFirst, he's got a 1 year suspension, not a permaban. Insulting does hurt people, and there is absolutely no reason to do it. If companies would let people flame each other the communities would be shit. It's already bad enough, and you want there to be a lesser punishment? No thank you, I can only imagine it being as bad as low priority queue in DoTA 2. After 9 incidents, he clearly deserves it.Their prices are standard (both HoN DoTA 2 charge you the same amount). Small love for the community, obviously, considering they have weekly sales, allow you to refund your champion if you didn't like it, have some times used community skins and passed them unto the game (Deep Kass, for example.), etc.

Posted 1/2/2013 3:24:23 AMIt's a free game lad. You don't have to buy skins. Skins don't do anything.
They want to get rid of the stigma connected with MOBA games. DOTA had the WORST community. They don't want that from League of Legends. Also, they want LoL to be a respected sports. Now imagine UFC fighters went out every weekend and picked on smaller people. You'd think UFC was nothing but a bunch of big assholes who would bully people. So UFC started banning bad fighters.LoL bans people who act like assholes.
What's the problem?

Posted 12/15/2012 8:09:37 PMThey banned all existing accounts. They didn't ban him from League completely. That's why he also had the stipulation that he cannot play competitive LoL for one year.
