The announcements finally came out from CLG, and the bombshells didn't disappoint. According to their website, they have finally made a few things official though, most notably that CLG.EU will no longer be under the CLG banner, and two roster moves for their North American team. According to the announcement, terms could not be reached for a new contract, and CLG.EU will be under a new banner come Season 3, but the two sides part ways on amicable terms.
HotshotGG gave this statement about CLG.EU leaving:
While I am sad to see CLG EU leave, I understand their position and the wonderful opportunity that has been presented to them. In their time with the organization, Snoopeh, Krepo, Yellowpete, Froggen, and Wickd have proven themselves to be one of the most consistent and formidable teams in the League of Legends professional scene. I am proud of what they have accomplished; grateful for the value and honor they brought to CLG; thankful for the time we spent together as teammates and friends at events, in Korea, at the gaming house in California; and excited to see them continue to develop and grow not only as players, but as people. Good luck in Season 3 and beyond!
This wasn't the only news to come out from CLG today though, as the also announced the addition of Aphromoo to support. This change hasn't been the best kept secret, but the acquisitions of star players to CLG continues as they snag one of the most popular players in the NA scene to play support for them. The Aphrolift lane has a lot of potential, and it will certainly be interesting to follow their progress throughout Season 3. Not only are they adding Aphromoo at support, but CLG.Black is also disbanding and Link115 will be joining the team as a substitute.
Aphromoo offered this on joining the team:
Time to get down to business. Being given the opportunity to play support for CLG makes me a little giddy because I will be able to play a role I am most comfortable in, coming from a healer for seven years in World of Warcraft. I will be putting in hard work to master support coming from playing AD carry so much, but with being under CLG I will have the proper tools necessary in order to become the best support in the world. I am happy!
The complete posts offers even more info including an update on the CLG documentary that is now in post production, management changes, and the announcement of a new CLG-sponsored tournament coming in January. The complete announcement can be found on CLG's website here. What do you think of the news RoG'ers and how will CLG.EU, Aphromoo, and CLG.Prime fare going forward?

Posted 12/29/2012 4:24:24 AMThis seems like a terrible fit, along the same lines as grabbing Voyboy was. Yes, Aphromoo is a great player. But he's also a very aggressive player, and he's a player that's most notable for flashy teamfighting as an AD Carry. I just don't see this working out with CLG's split-push-all-the-time mentality.

Posted 12/29/2012 8:07:53 AMDrinking a it is not very manly as well but i know police officers and professional soldiers doing both. So i am sure it also lacks negative impact on masculinity. Aphro is pretty known for aggresive playstyle (which is as many as it gets in virtual enviroment). Oh i almost forgot: writing smirky comments doesn´t make you look cool, but stupid, you know.

Posted 12/28/2012 1:22:37 PMThis is so sweet. Not only does one of my favourite teams break from TerrorShotGG, but one of my favourite players (Nhatn) is not going to the worst NA team. Happy days! :D

Posted 12/29/2012 6:14:56 PMDoublelift is an extremely good ADC, he just has the wrong team. He is forced into the retarded ideas of HotShotGG and his game with Chauster is not that great aswell.
