What do you do when you're an early pick and don't really have an idea of what team comps will look like?

This is generally what I do, but when not a single lane is competent... 

I do ward a lot. I try to ward wraiths, enemy blue, basically as much as I can. I don't really have the money to pink everyone's lane though, especially when they have no wards and thus no idea where the enemy wards actually are. 

I've played both of those, actually. I hate doing no damage, since teams are useless at my ELO (Bronze I). You gotta do damage to be able to carry :/

So I like jungling. Laning isn't really my talent, and I like to roam. There are a couple things I'm having issues with.

First, ganks. Every single game there's one lane who is just completely losing, and I have no idea what to do. Either I'm someone like Diana, who has absolutely shit ganks pre-6 (related question: what the fuck do I do when a lane is getting shit on before I even hit 6? try and farm or try and pull off a useless gank?) or their laner is just too fed and my ally has absolutely no damage. What do you do? 

Wards. I hate wards. My team seems to think pinks are the spawn of the devil, and I cannot fucking get in to gank anywhere. Lane ganks are a bitch to pull off unless you're physically talking to someone, to say "ok engage now so I'll reach you in time to fight", either that or I'm just awful at lane ganks.

Champions. I get really bored of jungle champions... My mains are J4, Diana, Hec, and Zac, but each has issues. Whenever I pick J4 early they always grab people who can leap out of my ult, making it useless. Diana does less damage than a kitten against anyone who's not really squishy, same with Zac. Hecarim is kinda fun, I'm just not very good at him. Anyone else I should take a look at, or ways to get around these issues?

I'm thinking of switching back to laning. I like being able to solidly win one lane, and then snowball others, whereas with a jungler I feel like there's a limited amount I can do. But there are so many awful junglers, and I hate fighting over roles... UGH. Thoughts?

Any opinions on which role I should main? I'm probably a slightly better jungler, and as a whole I find it a lot easier to snowball games, between the tankiness and the roaming. On the other hand, I really dislike the current jungle champions, and playing the same ones over and over is boring. I love the playstyle of mid lane and the champion variety, but it's also hard to initiate as a mid laner and it's harder to get the role in champ select.

My first item is generally something based off the enemy team - either Abyssal, Zhonya's, or Rylai's, depending on whether or not I want armor, MR, or health. Next is usually a Deathcap, and then whatever I feel like.

speaking of that, what's the general consensus on Rylai's?

I'm looking to pick up a new jungler to spread things out a little bit. Right now I play a lot of Diana, Jarvan, Udyr, Elise, and Nasus, with others thrown in on occasion (Kha, Nocturne). I'm pretty much deciding between these two, unless anyone has any other popular junglers I've completely missed. Zac seems a little bit more fun, but Hecarim seems a lot stronger (initiation wins games in Bronze). Thoughts?

I've lost plenty of games because we didn't have a solid tank. Regardless of whether or not you have BotRK or Liandry's, someone with 3500 HP is gonna be harder to kill than someone with 2000 HP. You need a front line with some beef to it, that'll always be true.

When do you take Perseverance and when do you take Durability in the Defense tree?

I've found that as Kassadin, I fall off even harder than Ahri does late game. Ahri can still land charms and be impossible to catch, plus building a Liandry's helps take down tanks easily. On the other hand, if you can't burst a squishy with a combo as Kass, you can't do much else.

No yeah I have an AD and a Jungle page. I just like to play mid, so more rune pages are good.
