    Quote from BadPlayer6 »

    2) FoN crowded out other MR items. Riot balances according to the abuse case. As long as FoN existed, Riot couldn't make another medium-high MR item, since FoN + other item would've just been way too much MR, and would've countered mages too heavily. And as a result of that, there wasn't any variety in choice for lategame MR. So by removing FoN, Riot opened up the way for more medium-high MR items, which would allow for a greater variety in choice when buying MR.

This guy's got it.  They basically opted for runic bulwark and other MR items and not FoN.

    Your build is ok.

BT - BC is pretty solid
    so is BT - LW.
You can even go both BT - BC - LW if you want.

At some point you might wanna try wanna mixing in IE and SS too though since after you wanna be able to do things.

If you go double BT you are basically trying to win the mid-game with your ults, which is fine, and totally works its a playstyle preference.

People shouldn't have to scourge the internet to learn every single little thing in the book known to League of Legends in order to rise up in ranks. Learning more through the internet isn't a bad thing. But when it's nearly forced in order for many people to get anywhere because they can't find the problems before them in matches.. there's a problem.

Your post is way too long :/ .
Anyways i feel this is a grave error in logic and it turned me off from reading the rest.

Ofcourse people who read up on LoL online are going to rise in ranks.  because they are investing time to get better.
People who don't read anything online will fall into the ranks with other people who don't read anything online.
This is how it works in every game with a ladder.

You are suggesting people who don't invest time to get better should easily rise in ranked?

They especially shouldn't learn to be 2-3 Tier levels of skill better than where they currently are in order to move on up just 1 Tier either.

If you are really 2-3 tiers higher in skill level then you WILL rise out of your league extremely fast.
i would say where it gets hard to rise to your true skill level is when you start to close into about 2-3 divisions of where you really belong.

i lost my first 7 placement matches because of afks and bs and it placed me at 1100 elo.
i rose to around 1400 pretty quickly and then slowly had to grind my way to 1600 [where i am now] and let me tell you, i'm right about where I belong now.
It's extremely difficult for me to win a lane and I very often get outfarmed.  But getting to 1600 was a slow slow grind.   Whenever I rise to around 1700 games start getting very hard and I am sometimes the reason we lose.
You likely aren't going to get to your true skill without a lot of games (because there are 4 strangers on your team every game) but you should be within 3 divisions fairly easily.  So probably right now you are within 3 divisions of your skill level.

    TLDR:
    Your logic is poor.
Getting within 3 divisions of where you belong is extremely easy.
    You should make a TLDR.

Edit: Also if you feel MOST players are short 2-3 tiers of where they actually belong then wouldn't that make the majority of them in the same tiers, making that where they belong?

do whatever you want honestly.  if you feel you can do every role better than your teammates at your elo then go for it.
i used to play all the roles better than my teammates, but now i have some trouble playing mid and top (because my opponents have gotten harder) so i try to avoid those roles.  it kinda sucks, but what can you do about it.

usually if you want to progress in ranked you want to play the role you are best at; which is why a lot of people say to keep getting better at that one role.
if you feel you're pretty equal at all your roles/champs, just keep playing and the stats will show you what you're really
    good at.

if you just talking about normals, do whatever you want.  I play ap rammus mid in normals sometimes.

    the list hasn't changed much.

i would say; kennen and gragas are definitely tier 2 along with lux and lissandra, ziggs and fizz tier 3, rumble should get bumped to tier 1. all based on 2k+ elo.

*edit* forgot to mention zac is tier 1 hands down. so broken in the top lane.

gragas is in a very poor spot right now >.>

Her pre-6 is very strong. Her R+W will allow you to win trades against literally anyone. And Post-6 you can still win trades if you can bait their ult or if it's down. She's a strong laner period. I hate how people keep focusing on her Q being blocked when your E's MS buff and W's snare is good enough to position yourself to avoid that problem. Her full combo synergises very well for trades.

Her midgame teamfighting is lackluster, at least without full CDR. Her passive + ult CD are actually very good at the moment, it's just that in a teamfight scenario it's only until lategame where you can chain mantras indefinitely after every combo. R+E is amazing lategame where it can proc your passive enough to practically make your R CD non-existant. So you can chain-bomb shields fairly effortlessly.

So early game is strong, because W.
Mid game is meh, because Q is your main damage tool at this point and it gets blocked too easily in a teamfigth scenario. R+E can't be chained yet.
Lategame is amazing because E. You can literally mantra every 6 seconds with each combo. Thanks to the recent CD buffs.

She's not bad. She gets a hard rep at the moment but hopefully it will pass.

thank you :). U have a lot more experience than me on this champ and it shows. Ive only played a handful of games as her. I wasnt aware she could chain mantra like that so now I wanna play her even more. I dont mind waiting to late game to be a beast.

anyone telling you that karma is secretly on par with other mids is wrong.  her winrate is low for a reason.
    http://www.lolking.net/charts?region=all&league=platinum&type=champion-loserate&range=monthly

lissandras winrate is low, but im suspecting itll raise to around 50% once people stop playing her mid and she becomes a permanent support.
karma has been out for a long time now and has consistently proven to be a weak pick.
people argue complexity but its not a very good argument. especially since those are platinum stats.

i doubt she will become super good unless some crazy new way of player her is found, like ad bruiser karma top or something nobody has thought of yet.

    Realistically:

Jungle   - Jarvan (for MF to land her ult)
    Top       - Wukong
    ADC      - Miss Fortune
Support - Zyra (slightly better peel than sona imo)
    Mid        - Orianna

  • posted a message on Mid-lane... Why not Karma?

its not that karma is a bad mid, its that she is a bad champion, which makes her a bad mid.

what she brings to the table is significantly worse than other champions.

    some of her problems include:
a mantra'd q is impossible to hit the 2nd half, even with a snare it rarely lands.
    weak cc
q is blocked by creeps often making the front line the only realistic target during teamfights. not usually what you want.
mantra cd is probably ~15-20 seconds too long.

  • posted a message on How to counter caitlyin in lane?

quite honestly you're not going to COUNTER her in lane, unless you run something out of the meta.

you can pick champions that can deal with her better than others, but you aren't going to dominate her with a specific pick unless you outplay her.
