Evelynn is far too low on your tier list. She should be at least tier 2, possibly tier 1.
The fact that her ulti got nerfed hit her hard, that is true, but do you know why so many people keep failing with Evelynn? They build the wrong items. If you want to deal damage, you don't need to rush dfg, you need to build magic pen items. Evelynn is one of the scariest mids lategame, if she has her ignite up, she will instagib your adc while also being able to dish out tons of constant damage with her hate spike. I don't even get dfg anymore to be honest. A regular item build should look like this: Sorc's, Liandry's, Abyssal Scepter/Athene's, Deathcap, Warmog's, Void Staff (if no Abyssal)/Dfg (if you really need the burst)/Frozen Heart/Zhonya's/Guardian Angel,...
But really though, move Evelynn up, she hasn't been played much because people have yet to figure her out. Not that I mind though, I played Evelynn pre-nerfs and never stopped playing her.

Mordekaiser: you make him go 0/10/0 in lane, he still 1v5s your entire team with just one click.

Personally, I prefer ganking mid and top. And I main mid, play jungle pretty often and sometimes top. But I rarely play botlane.
I also pretty much refrain from ganking botlane, since it is pretty much always warded and ganks can backfire more easily.
But, my friend who mains adc prefers ganking botlane because he finds it easy to gank.
And another friend who mains top pretty much babysits it whenever he jungles.

So this got me wondering, do junglers gank their main lanes more often than the ones they rarely play?

Well, yeah. She isn't exactly OP. But very snowbally, which can easily make her seem OP.
I've read the Phoenixkami guide and watched a couple of Redmercy videos.
So thanks everybody for replying, I think I'll have a lot of fun with her in the future. Just gotta figure out how to play her exactly, especially when to use the shroud.

Basically my title.
I'm looking to try out a new champion. I like assassins that just pop out of nowhere and slaughter your entire team.
Both Akali and Pantheon seem really strong, though they are quite different. From what I've seen Pantheon is pretty much a physical damage Twisted Fate, whereas Akali is more like Katarina in the sense that she has loads of mobility and burst damage, aswell as resets (refills rather) on kills.
I have the exact runes needed to trigger Akali's passive, so no problems there.

Which one would you recommend and why?

PS: I play AP middle most of the time, with Cassiopeia (during S2) and Evelynn (during S3) being my mains.

Which junglers do you go into the utility tree with?

It depends, I used to start flask-ward-5hp pots all the time. Now I tend to start boots again if I'm up vs opponents with skillshots, and flask + 3 pots if I'm up against a heavy harass farm lane.
But it's true, I really dislike the increase in price, it used to be a much better item.
