I really don't understand the point in this post. Support is not OP. Wards are not OP unless played correctly, how often is it that you, yourself play a game and your team wards with the co-ordination that pro's do sure we could buy plenty of wards. But unless your a good player you won't maximise the effect of having vision people take less risks at lower elo even with vision as they aren't used to it. 

Also the idea that supports buy all the wards is also nonsense if your support is the only person buying wards your playing the game wrong. Buying wards isn't the support's job they happen to invest more than other roles simply because they don't scale as well with items. 

I really don't think the problem is with the role it's with the community's mentality when they are in other lanes. Having the option to buy a 6th item or wards is just one of the decisions you have to make. As a jungler I'll rarely take a 6th item over wards as they also tend to scale worse.

I am sure I can just climb up again but the frustrating thing is that I had done it very quickly before through a win rate way over 70% now it's going to take me more games to reach Gold & who knows I may get unlucky this time around now that you can't dodge clear trolls. 

My Current Elo was 1535 I could understand if my top elo was above but not my current.

Both my top & current was 1535 I haven't actually played that many Ranked games yet I've been rising very quickly but that's part of my disappointment 1535 elo in 15 games felt good I'm effectively 1400 elo now despite earning Gold. I'm pretty frustrated to be honest but I've sent an email to Riot asking why this is I'll let you guys know what they say. 

During the preseason I managed to get my elo from about 1400 to 1535 but now the patch has come through I am in Silver Division 1. The rest of my friends are where they expected to be. Including a friend of mine who was 1853 elo he just barely managed to get Platinum by 3 elo but he is now in Platinum Division 5 not Gold Division 1 so why is it only me who has to climb another 100 elo only to have to do a best of 5 placement game just to reach Gold, when I had already won a game in Gold before.

Sorry if this seems like a rant but I am genuinely confused.

In a perfect world if you want to raise Elo you'll be playing mid. Which of course is your best role because it's a perfect world, you know how to counter pick, last hit incredibly well while ganking other lanes / invading with your fellow jungler. 

I feel Mid definitely has the most influence over the rest of the map and the biggest potential for gold income as you can take your own jungles/ steal their jungles wraiths etc. Most AP\s have mobility of some kind, burst and a cc from a distance making them one of the best roles for ganking.
