Confirmation bias, brings me back to psych class :b
I wish people would know more about that in particular and attribution theory as well. Sometimes people's logic are so flawed due to SSB (self-serving bias).
Good article :)

Can we just summon a mod to lock this thread? We all know what to do in situations like this. Might as well free up many people's notifications.

In terms of Maokai mid: I have encountered quite a few of them and I've never felt threatened once, Sure he has the ability to roam well but in my humble opinion he does so much better from the unknown (jungle). He brings nothing to the lane other than great potential for receiving ganks. His harassment is mediocre to weak, he's melee, et cetera...
It may work for some people; maybe I just haven't faced a good one yet.
you haven't faced a good one yet. A good one would hit you with 1-2 saplings then go all in and blow you up. His damage is quite deceptive.
@raikaria I found the best 3 matchups against mao to be kat/eve/ryze. They can't engage him nor can they shove him out.
Sure, but that sounds like a common AP routine for many mid champions; nothing out of the average. I'm sure he counters something specific, be I also think he's being overestimated for the argument.
In any case, I'm not convinced. But neither were my friends when I started playing Nasus mid.

I have paid attention to the balance of the game, and in my opinion there are stronger champions who need fixing at the moment. But my opinion is irrelevant, as I'm probably super biased since Elise is my main.

I just want to say that i am dissapointed how riot didnt put skill shot on her very powerfull ultimate. She is just impossible to avoid in ganks (1). There is no champion in lol with that strong ability that cant be avoided (2). No room for counterplay (3)! Plus when it is combined with other spells it is a free kill every 2min (4). And that range... she is most op champion in a long time (5) and yes i know it is the rule but she is too much even for new champions.
I counted five statements with no base.
So Riot's reason/context for nerfing Elise again is based on this baseless statement:
Because some champions need to get nerfed.
Well I guess that justifies everything.

I do not recommend trying to apply this. Though some members are nice, The admins are evil.
Nuff said.
All admins I've met have been nice individuals, some nicer than others but none rude and none near what constitutes the definition of evil.
Then again, what do I know, right?
@Dankaw - Obviously someone who needs to comment on personal preferences and use it as some odd line of argument to bolster his own train of thought isn't worth arguing with in the first place; especially when it is the case that cats rule the internet saying "GG Easy" is a good example of unsportsmanlike conduct, and that it is in fact reason enough for players on the receiving end to report that certain individual.
On-thread: Suggesting that "Riot should do something about this." is very easy. Ideas have been proposed before, and with such a large playerbase, Riot can only do so much with their small staff (a bit above 100).
^ I agree with jim. It's the whole Irelia/Rengar issue once again; with champions whose kits are superior in too many aspects (Kha'Zix: Free jumps, stealth, ranged AoE poke, heal/sustain etc.), just nerfing certain parts doesn't help, they need to fix the issue altogether.
@Nevran Elise is versatile; she was made that way. I don't agree with the statement that you cannot counter her tactics. Renekton, for example, can slice through, chunk her hp and slice back taking little to no damage if done correctly. Also, rush hexdrinker against her as any top laner who benefits from the item and she suddenly becomes a lot easier to beat. Surprisingly few players do this when I play Elise top, which usually does indeed make them frustrated after a few kills. Players who do it, however, make my life much harder.
Furthermore, as a champion who is occasionally required to go "all-in" and with a skill like Rappel, there's no reason to remove her bonus resistances as it'll take that way of playing her away almost completely, making Rappel nothing more than an escape move. Additionally, she gains no MR per level, and will be therefore be outclassed easier in mid lane as she's partly melee.
