haaahahahaaa... oh god, stop it... stop it, my sides hurt!

these tier lists are always so biased and fluffed. FotM picks do not make a champ tier 1.

rofl i love this website. always good for a quick laugh.

Again, that's all well and good and mindset is something i never take for granted. I don't go into a game thinking "omg i'm gonna lose with this team comp" or "someone's gonna leave on my team, i know it." If i had a bad run of games then i'm gonna go play normals and get paired with mostly reasonable people, have a good game with people who can cooperate and tack on a few wins. Go back to ranked, get sour teammates and my elo drops farther. It's really not about attitude because i'm not one of those people who gets upset at other lanes for dying 3-4 times, and while some games are lost due in part to poor decisions i've made, i've certainly never thrown a game single handedly. The key word to all this is chance... The chance to have a good team, the chance you'll have a leaver, the chance you'll carry hard enough to win that 4v5... But when you think about disease and chance... the chance of someone having a stroke is pretty low. But what happens when 12 ppl walk into your hospital in a row who've had a stroke... that's when the reality of "chance" really becomes apparent. If it can happen, it usually will happen. Try as you might to have a good game despite other playing poorly/acting immature, you're still just as likely to have a bad game. Remember how often you get frozen from an icebeam in pokemon? 10% is apparently most of the time... Or how many times that 70% accuracy blizzard would miss?

Informative and largely opinionated. You know how easy it is to drop 300 elo? It's as easy as being stupid enough to play ranked on day 1 of the patch and get 6 leavers, 1 afk'r on my team and three wins because i had a whole team. So after going from 1360 at the end of s2(after only 15~ games or so), i get reset to 1200 or so and lose 150 elo directly because of things beyond my control. Now if i belong in this elo, why am i getting actual teammates in normal games, where my elo is much higher. I constantly play with gold players in normals, where in ranked games i'm the only one with more than a ribbon border. Now i should just be able to carry teams out of elo hell right? but then comes the "too heavy" teams, which take my 5-0 caitlyn/kha'zix/Elise starts and flush them because other lanes/slots(which i usually give up to people who can't play all roles) lose egregiously... Thank you for the charts and the insight but not everything is so cut an dry. It's like airplane rides... Everyone is scared of dying in a crash but stats say that you're more likely to get into a car crash on the way to/from the airport instead of on the plane. Well i'm the guy who's scared of leavers/afk'ers ruining my ELO and then it actually happens. Then you don't get back out from the bottom because for every game you do well in, you have the same problems that keep you down in the dirt. The biggest problems with medians and averages is that there will always be outliers. Moral of the story, just play normals or premade teams at this point. Saying "i'm the god of solo queue" is the same as saying "I got lucky by not getting screwed early, then when i reached a certain point i could prove myself with skill." Had i not gotten 7 games with leavers for my first 10 games i "could've" started the season around 1500, and never dropped because of "what is muramana"(plus the higher % of leavers) 1100 elo players.

perfect item for elise jungle. Once you get this you won't need blue anymore, you'll have extra AP and armor(both very necessary for elise to succeed in the post-mid phases) and you're probably gonna buy sheen anyway if you're doing well, so why not go the extra mile and get that extra slow. This could negate the need for a rylai's on elise as well, a very interesting idea.

Other champs i'd like to try this on... um maybe zilean but it would only be really good mid-game before you get his E all the way up... It sounds good in theory but if you're going mid-zil, lichbane will be better as a late game buy since tear is going to be worth getting again.

I see Jax, Kayle, diana, AP ez or hybrid kog... idk, nasus is another interesting option but TF may end up providing more for your money(but the 15% cdr helps you Q faster and the slow is represented either way). Other than that i don't see this being truly useful on a whole lot of champs... OOOH maybe nid? for those who still go AP with her, the slot she belongs in imho.

I was gonna say fizz but he is similar to nid... and they both may end up benefitting more from lichbane... Also, this could solve mana issues for kha'zix but i would need to do some serious math and experimenting before i'd even do that to a normal team lol.

that's only becuase everyone demands boots/pots at the start. With the new patch you can start machete and health regen(the half of philo stone) plus a pot or two. With that extra clear speed, the golem collar upgrade and everyone being slowed down in the jungle it really won't matter so much. Also, volibears tankiness makes him an excellent jungle and a great choice when you need that tanky jungler but everyone is constantly banning shen/ali/malph/amumu... People will start banning cho soon too i forsee, its only a matter of time before ppl realize he's more dangerous than alistar

and on champs who are severely gimped by slows(volibear, udyr or hecarim) the effects will be even greater. Its a double-edged lollipop for those champs as the extra speed helps their ganks and the extra slow-redux helps their ganks succeed vs strong slowers like karthus, nunu and singed

man i used to run clarity/ignite on mid zilean before they put numbers on his bomb. At that point the game was so new that i was so good with zil that they changed him almost to the brink of unusable.(it wasn't just me of course but my build caught on and there were far too many aggressive, 20-0 zileans running around lol)

clarity will be usable again once the change from a flat amount to a % of your mana goes through. Don't count your lucky stars for it to be incredible or anything but useful? yes, count on at least a few champs being able to utilize it.

In other news, i do find this article(and most others on this site honestly) to be incredibly biased and not very well thought out. The New black cleaver is going to be a good pick on jungle/top laners with aoe potential. applying when physical damage is dealt is going to be huge. The new tear is going to change the way everyone looks at mana and those two items, especially with the great upgrades added to archangels and manamune.

Also top laners with heal do exceedingly well, especially in the current meta. The next few weeks may change that but who knows honestly. As for revive... shen and pantheon maybe. Tf is a real stretch but sure, i'll buy that one. Karthus should be either ulting early or once he dies, reviving to ult again is silly unless you run teleport/revive which seems even more silly.

You made quite a few good points. Far too many people are running ignite and not enough people run exhaust. Getting a support to pick exhaust is a headache lately... However you didn't mention flash, which is a trap spell honestly.

Currently, everyone picks flash. Whether you're darius or kassadin or hecarim(jk hec's don't run flash) but flash is about to get nerfed more(adding more of a cd to it). So it will still be a good pick and i would happily take flash on certain champs but people need to realize that just like other spells, flash is a trap on the wrong one.

P.S. typos run rampant in the articles on this site.
