CS is the key to every lane, getting objectives is the key to winning every game.
Ide say the correct mind set is to always be farming until you see an opportunity to make a play for an objective. The better you get at the game, the better you will be at jumping on or creating those opportunities. Just always remember, time is a luxery

i wouldnt call an item you see in almost every game underrated
champ selection is a huge part of the game. if an Op champ is nerfed into a more balanced state you can think about more intelligent bans vs the champs your team is planning on playing. Thats one reason why its a buff to every champion,.

ive run about 10 different configuration on poppy jungle, i have some that start red and use very little mana and some that start blue and spam abilities. The key seems to be making sure your masteries line up with your runes so you end up with sustain + clear. 1 build starts poppy with 20 cdr, 40 with blue buff. Ive found several viable jungle build for poppy.
The problem main problem ive found is that poppy cant gank as often as other junglers with out falling behind in lv's... but at the same time a lv 6 poppy seems to be able to kill lv 9 opponents, so maybe its a moot point?
i wonder if something like this could be done through the mastery tree's? that would make them much more interesting
