There are no real counters to nunu, because he is about utility (amplifies his adc, does "good" ganks all game long, decent damage but low scaling, aura bearer, ...) he can go economic builds or a bit more expensive ones (abyssal let's say)

Now jungle-wise, nunu is both a farmer and an invader (at least it's his biggest strengths).
Thus you want champions that shouldn't be buried early game (amumu/hecarim for instance are not champions you should want)
On the contrary you want champions that are good gankers early, with maybe dashes/interrupts in their kits, while having a good first clear time.

Take lee-sin for instance. Nunu has a slow? So does he. Nunu has an execute (i mean, for objectives such as drake or nash), so does lee.
Now lee's R counters nunu's R "directly", and he has decent peeling power to stop a nunu that wants to throw a snow ball on your carry.
He also stops Nunu's good lategame, because he is a better ganker early, and thus you can snowball off of him your lanes before Nunu's Bloodboil starts making the ennemy adc a beast.

There are loads of champions to pick against Nunu, but long story short follow the guide lines :
    - don't pick "weak" champions that have to farm untill six
    - pick more according to your team and ennemies' teamcomp rather than simply against Nunu (he is just an amplifier with bullying power)

I might say stupid things tho.

Kool thanks, i dont actually play lee though lol. Most duelists cant catch the little bugger, he just ices you and scampers off.. but a few with gap closers and cc would be nice, maybe j4 or jax, but jax can get hurt badly without farm..

IF you want an ad bruizer.... play one. But chances are you picked malphite because your team needed a tank, so be a tank. You get enough bonus dps as it is off sunfire/ all the armor you get.

Also, i actually start with mana and health regen pendants with 3 pots, then go straight for spirit on first back and as many long swords as i can afford to get the lizard. i can often get the full lizard on my first back, and that makes for great kill and harass power in lane.

Ya... ive actually been ignoring the manamune completely, though ppl yell at me for it. then i see that TPA game linked at the end of the blue ez post, and he ignored it too.. he actually build exactly the same way i do, lizard, boots, IG, then either LW/BoTRK depending which is needed first, or even a BT if they are all squishy and are easily kited.

However.. I am very curious just how much the nerf to lizard next patch will hurt this ez build.. (-10 AD)

Yes.... yes i saw that. But it doesnt give the exact build order that i noticed. do you get the tear before or after the lizard? Is iceborn the 5th item? its showing BoTRK as the first item..

Ya, while health made a great come back this season, resist is still multiplicative with both LS/SV, and shields, which makes it still a better choice sometimes. the value of heals, lifesteal, spell vamp, or otherwise is much more significant with resists.

Ya so far the best ive come up with is, as ares said, Bortk vs a tanky team, and gunblade vs a squishy team or a lot of mages, which tends to be the same thing.

However, i need to find out, statistically, if it is indeed worth it to go hybrid (other than TF of course, that will likely always be core), or simply go AD all the time... Even if its statisically better to go pretty much much pure ad, you can get your MR you lack from being hybrid in either the form of a maw or spirit. Or wits end.. but i think the maw and spirit are far better.
