    You have to remember that assassins always need to stay ahead of or with the curve of power to be useful.  While the build does damage, if she is behind the power curve, it just isn't going to be enough. 

    Tanks, supports and bruisers have enough base utility to be useful if they are behind and build paths to make up for lack of gold.  Assassins have no such luxury.  She must build damage to utilize her kit.  She just doesn't have the base numbers to really be that powerful compared to other roles in the jungle when behind. 

    This is true for pretty much all assassins though.

    Nami needed buffs.  Most of the buffs were really minor though.

    Overall, she just needed her kit to do what it was supposed to do.  Her Q was horrible for what it did.  The only good part about it was the range but for how hard it was to hit, it just didn't make sense. 

    I still think her E is lackluster and her W is pretty good.  The real reason that Nami is so good is her ultimate.  It is really good for engaging and disengaging.

    The "artwork" is tongue in cheek for her "assets."  I believe her upper half is the largest in game and that wardrobe....

    Just imagine if Evelynn was released today.

    I've never really thought of her as an AA heavy champion.  But I could see the build with her massive attack speed steroid.

    I would throw in item dependent.  Evelynn needs items to completely wreck people.  Until I get sorc shoes, guise and DFG, I just do not feel that powerful.  After that though....

    Those combinations I think lend a lot to the champion present. 

    DFG+Rabadon would work great on Eve.  Her stuff is % based and scales with more AP. 

    Rabadon+Lich bane makes a lot of sense on TF since he has a fantastic skill for using Lichbane over and over.  Plus, he is already in auto attack range.

    Rabadon + void would be better served on someone who has A. High magic scaling and B. needs to negate a lot of early MR.  Like if they rushed Bulwark and each had some MR.  Like trying to stop a fed Leblanc.  Of course, you can make an argument for Eve too, because % based damage loves penetration.

    I could do another article on it some time.  Though I think I should spend more time looking at mage items overall.  Often times, these items are not bad, there is just better choices for what is happening.

    The issue with Lichbane is that it is a damage item that happens to have other stats on it.  It does not really offer utility like Zhoyna's or damage like Death cap.

    As a result, it gets lost in the mix and is easy to see why.  Even Fizz and TF would get more damage from a deathcap.  While TF might not be a full burst mage, every second you give the target to live, is a lifetime for them or a teammate to react.  

    Lichbane has a place.  But I really feel like it needs to add survivability to warrant the item.  And I do not mean the magic resist it used to have.

    Anyways, Lichbane just does not do enough damage to warrant being your first big damage item.  And I have clearly read the comments, still does not change the basic nature of my post.  Lichbane does not offer enough damage to compete against other damage items.  And it does not offer enough utility to consider it over damage.

    TF and Fizz are about the only champions that build lichbane all the time.  They would be better served getting deathcap first, then getting Lich bane.

    Which item in the build path though?  DFG & Guise are way more important.  Let's not forget Abyssal too! 

    Lichbane would work fine with Evelynn.  But at the same time, Deathcap would raise the burst damage (and percentage damage) on her kit even more. Ane Evelynn is a bust mage/assassin...thing. 

    Maybe not strickly a burst mage, but every moment something lives is another moment for an AD to escape and keep killing your team.
