Blue Build: being covered soon, I didn't want to steal another writer's thunder

    Executioner's Calling: clearly situational

Black Cleaver: On MF, it's strong

Youmuu's Ghostblade/SotD/Zephyr: I'm only covering 4 item builds because most solo queue games aren't going to go to the 6-item mark.

Hurricane: I regret my hype to this item. I thought it would be strong, it turns out to be too impractical. Perhaps some team will find a way to use it well on Kog. I really hope so.

Trinity Force: You may notice a common theme; Corki feels too weak to be largely playable. Even Cop doesn't spam him like he used to.

quinn is really just a top; she has a lot of the gameplay of teemo and a kit better suited to splitpushing than team fights (her ult is great 1v1 but dangerous in team fights)

I, to be fair, watch tournaments over streams ever since they became common. However, I know of at least a few examples.

My friend Wuigi was playing with RobertxLee and carried the game, and both RxL and his in-game chat had nothing but positive things to say about him (his chat even told them that AL should add wuigi :D)

Scarra is generally positive, as was Shushei (from what I remember of his streaming post-Season One Dreamhack). Guardsman Bob hasn't been pro in a long time, but he is a fantastic role model. Ocelote isn't bad. I'm sure people could list other streamers as well. A lot of the really negative streamers come from the S1 NA scene, back when the top teams were just 5 top solo queuers.

Can somebody explain me what assiociated exactly means? This mean that assiociated are champs who got strong ties with factions or champs who fight for faction. cos i'm not sure if riven is fighting for noxus.

Also do you think there is a chance that riot will made other games in lol universum (maybe RPG) or maybe they'll make books/anime/serial/comic/film?

    From the posts:

"We had a debate about Riven/Noxus. The core reason we are still listing her with Noxus is, she is a Noxian patriot, she just doesn't like what Noxus has become. If there is a hope for Noxus to change it's path, that might start with Riven.

She's still an exile though "

(Actually, the number of pirates is alive and well in the modern era. I used to design language tests for the languages of certain countries which suffer from piracy, and the amount of high seas pirates has only recently (the last 2-3 years) begun to significantly decrease)

I agree to an extent, but by that definition, we can use no markers of victory as contributing. Given that we should reasonably talk about increasing your skills to increase your likelihood of victory, we should accept that csing better, having a better KDA, poking better, and so forth, are all 'causes' of victory, even if the only 'actual' cause of victory is superior skill. If losing is an illness caused by skill differences, every step on the way is a symptom, not a cause. But each of those symptoms actually makes the loss MORE likely, and as such, is a cause of sorts. Let's say your enemy laner gets an early kill on you. Is that a symptom of you losing? Yes. But is it a symptom of you having lost? No. However, it is now a cause of your being even more likely to lose, because you are behind in gold.

But that isn't even the biggest problem. The main problem is that by using averages you are looking at your skill with a champion (or the survivability/assistability of a champion) compared to your win %, not wether a low amount of deaths give you a higher chance of victory in a certain game. Gentleman is not proving what he wants to prove, but something totaly else: With some champions he is more skilled than other champions, and that shows itself in lower deaths, higher victory % and more assists. That he doesn't kill more with these champs could be, but maybe he wins more with support characters, where kills aren't prefered. (maybe he should stratisfy these results to different roles, support, adc, apc etc.)

So let's break down what this means. I think we can agree that the only meaningful a priori definition of 'more skilled' with a champion is 'wins more than somebody less skilled'. If we discover other dependent variables that correlate to 'more skilled', we can thus conclude that these variables are a PART of skill.

If you're saying that more skill = higher KDA (as a result of more skill), aren't you saying that higher KDA is a thing that leads to more wins?

I guess I wasn't entirely clear. Assists should correlate highly with winning. The distinction I was trying to draw is that they don't necessarily imply that you're contributing to your team winning. I was basically trying to say that assists generally mean your team is doing well, but not that you are. The removal of that variable would be through a comparison of your assists to team assists. I do agree with your analysis, I just think that this part has some flaws that lead you to make some slightly stronger statements than you might have otherwise.

An example would be something like being an underleveled akali who shrouded in the middle of a team fight but blew up immediately due to AOE before doing damage. Your team is doing well though so you ace them. You get 5 assists but didn't contribute to your team's win in the team fight in a substantial way. I'll admit that I picked an extreme example, but there are certainly games where our teammates carry and we pick up tons of assists without contributing that much to the team.

It's true. They don't necessarily imply that. It's a statistical correlation, not a logical consequence. There are (at least) two factors at play in assists

    1. how well you did
    2. how well your team did

One is indicative of how well you did, one is indicative of your team. Just because some of the effect comes from your team doesn't mean that there isn't an effect.
