Reign of Gaming

I'm trying to decide whether to get Ahri or Xerath as my next chamion.  I like highly mobile assassins like Ahri, but I also like champs who can disintegrate their enemies the way Xerath can.  For context, my favorite mid-laners are Katarina, Kayle, Kassadin, and Ryze.

Katarina was on free week when I first started playing the game.  In champ select for one of my first games, I saw her picture and, well, I'm a sucker for green-eyed redheads.  I wasn't very good though, even against beginner bots, since I had just started playing that very week.  Even so, there was something about her that I liked.  I didn't actually buy Kat until a few months later, because I really wanted Shyvana and expected to main her (I like dragons).

After I got Shyvana though, Katarina was my next purchase.  I still couldn't quite put a finger on what I liked about Kat, I just knew I wanted to get better at her, so I practiced and practiced, eventually learning that her ultimate is channeled and what that means (I honestly thought that the damage was instant and would immediately move again after starting).  One day I decided to try my hand with her in some normal games, I wasn't learning much from the bots anymore.  I had wins, I had losses, but there was one particular match that really sealed the deal for me.  There was a team fight in the enemy jungle, and I got a Quadra Kill, something that I hadn't even managed against bots before.  That was the moment when I realized that I loved this Noxian femme fatale.

Fast forward to a month or two ago.  I was playing an ARAM game, and I had the good fortune to roll Katarina.  I'm the first to respawn after an Ace, and the enemy team is pressuring our second tower all at low health. Rammus and Ahri throw their taunt and charm at me when I approach, both of which I immediately Cleanse. I jump on Ahri and drop her with a Q>E>W>R combo. The instant she's down, I cancel the channel of Death Lotus and jump on Rammus to take him out.  Double Kill.

By this point, Morgana and Teemo are fleeing, so I give chase. Morgana throws a Dark Binding at me, but I killed Rammus and Ahri so quickly that the CC reduction from Cleanse is still active and the snare ends quickly. I jump on Teemo, but Morgana keeps him barely alive with a Black Shield. I keep following and the shield wears off at the same time that Sinister Steel comes off cooldown.  Triple Kill.

I get another reset, Morgana's abilities are on cooldown. She has no defense against me.  Quadra Kill.

All that's left is Fiddlesticks. He's under a tower, but the poor bastard is out of mana. By this point, I've gotten enough resets that my ult is off cooldown. I Shunpo to him and unleash another Death Lotus.

PENTAKILL.

I knew this day would come, but I had never feared that it would be so soon.

Who first picks Kassadin?  Don't get me wrong, I like Kassadin, but he has such a weak laning phase and is so easy to counter that first picking him is an almost guaranteed death sentence.

What is "orb walking"?

I'm going to hazard a guess that the time difference is about ten hours, so servers will go down around noon for you.  Give or take an hour or two, I'm not sure about the location of the time zone in question.

Not only that, but the article has little to no typos too!

I'm rather biased towards Katarina.

As long as Shaco is still played, the nerfs will never be enough.
