  • posted a message on Quitting LoL/ Report System Broken?

You care too much.  If a bunch of baddies say they are going to report you, and you aren't usually a toxic player, then nothing will come of it.

Who cares if you couldn't report them, the fact that you just wanted to quit and tried so hard to report them means you got trolled hard and ate it all up.  If you don't like someone, mute them in game.  Don't tell them they're muted and be a drama queen about it, just mute and keep playing.  If you want to report them after, cool.  You can't? Who cares.

Does reporting do anything? Of course it does, go to the tribunal boards and read all the people complaining about how they got banned and didn't deserve it. They post their case and they were being complete dicks.  You have to be a dick all the time to get in trouble, the thing is a lot of people that play this game are young so they don't get they are being negative or jerks and thus don't think they deserve their punishment.

Lastly, people are stupid so stop caring what they think.  Olaf says no mia's yet you pinged mia, either hes a moron or you didn't ping in time.  If you didn't ping in time then try better next time.  If you did then hes a bad so don't get all butt hurt about it.

About the whole mia thing anyways, its a courtesy.  If you die to a mia it means a) you don't have wards, are over extended, and don't use the mini map. b) you have wards but don't use the mini map and are probably over extended.  Regardless of if there was a mia or not you failed not the lane that didn't call it.  If they did call it you might have lived, but if you had been better then you would have also lived.  Again, people are stupid.

If you like the game then play it and stop caring what people think.

    2. this community is no worse or better than any other online gaming community. coming from WoW i've seen the same "omg wtf" behavior that ignores their own failures.

    This.

The difference is you relay on randoms to do more in lol then you ever have in any other game.

As to OP: It's normals, dude wanted to play crit plank. Why he did it vs a pantheon (which he knew he was laning against) is beyond me, but maybe he wasn't playing for the win and just for fun.

Pantheon 100% shuts down critplank:  "Active: After attacking or casting spells 4 times, Pantheon will gain a shield that blocks the next Tower Shot or normal/enhanced standard attack which deals more than 40 physical damage to him." (http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Pantheon)

Thats 4 cs bro.  Not 4 attacks vs the champ you are laning against.

Never be in front.  Look at their team and understand who is going to jump on you (usually top/jungle), build to kill them.  Kite kite kite, kill their bruiser who is chasing you.  Hope your team didn't focus tanks and die then clean up the rest if they didn't.  That should be sufficient in low elo.

Also watch Chaox and Doublelift's streams.  Both historically love Vayne although they don't play her as much since she isn't a favored adc atm.  Regardless their mechanics and positioning are worth learning from.

@darkwing : there are expections tough

in some games people are just so retarded that you can't do much

this doesn't happen a lot as there might be decent players too in your team

Ya but if you snowball hard you will win the majority of your games.  The problem is most people only get super fed early like once every 15 games and when that happen if they lose they get all pouty.

Work at just crushing lanes.  If you can considerably out cs the enemy and have a large kill advantage early then you will carry the game.  If you can't do this consistantly then you are playing at your appropriate elo and won't really rise.

Edit: lol didn't realize the necro, dafuq?

PD: in soloQ I always try to make someone on the other team look bad. This might seem dirty, but you have to deal with trolls, afks, cocky glasscannons and so on. Make them flame him. Make all the other team think the game is lost because they have a bad adc/mid/jungler.

    I like your style.

Lot of good advice in this tread.

As ADC seems to be your problem start practicing it more in normals.  You shouldn't be going even or slightly better in cs, it should always be better.  As someone else said, work on winning your trades.  By winning trades you will eventually deny cs.  This takes knowing the match ups.  A deeper knowledge of the match ups will get you kills as you figure out the power spikes.  Don't die.  It is the lazy adc who blames his support for not pinging the jungle gank because he was too focused on csing and not keeping a third eye on the mini-map.  Regardless of if a mia was called, or your support doesn't ping you back, you should know if you are getting 4man ganked.  Are there no wards where there need to be?  Tell the support where to put them, don't risk it for a few creeps.

This is how you start winning your lane and not just going even or slightly ahead.  None of this is a simple easy fix.  It takes time and lots of games.

The problems you are having mid game usually stem from their top/jungle being fed and you simply going even.  You are relaying too much on your team to peel.  Yes I know, they are supposed to, but don't expect it in bronze.  You aren't going to get any Aphrolift action down there.

Graves isn't the best adc for team fights when you are on your own.  He is slow, his steroid is his escape, he generally fights closer range.  Obviously if you have a solid taric go nuts, its a lulsy comp.

Ezreal gives you a lot of kiteablity, but I have found it is better to just dominate bot lane and carry that power into midgame.

My preference is MF.  With greater map awareness you don't need to relay on escapes as much, and in turn you get raw early game domination handed to you in her kit.  Apply match up knowledge and bot lane gets easy fast.  You will still have the same problems mid game, but at least you will be way bigger and thus more equipped to deal with it.

It's been said a couple times already, but your main focus should be winning lane.  If you aren't dominating your lane, then you are banking on getting carried or randomly winning mid game team fights which is unreliable.  That's not a winning strategy.

Mid is the lane which has the ability to have the most effect on the game due to its ability to roam.  Jungle can snowball games quite easily as well.  The problem at your elo is that people cannot be relayed on to carry with the lead you give them.  This makes playing a good support and tanky/support jungles less rewarding in terms of wins.

I would suggest playing normals for awhile until you are comfortable enough with your champions that you are constantly winning your lanes.  Then head back to ranked.  Otherwise you won't really see much movement out of bronze.

  • posted a message on Is sight wards that important for a Morgana Mid?

I want to take this in a different direction then the the above Hate on OP he needs to buy wards!

I think people are misunderstanding his lvl of play.  If in most games you don't have junglers they are not that important, at least not in lane.

Lets face it, if hes in an elo range that doesn't have junglers, then it is safe to say the majority of players aren't even looking at their mini map.

Eventually you will get to a lvl of play where there is always a jungler.  In that case, all the above is posts are completely true and you really need to ward.

You will be fine without wards, but it is always a good idea to have a couple in your inventory once the laning phase breaks down.

Regarding your build its ok.  I agree with what the above poster said, but it doesn't really matter.  I would prefer the 1% cdr over spellsword, but it is possible you are using it as a crutch for lasting hitting.  If that is the case, and it is generating you more cs, then at this point I would say its ok.

Here is Reginald's guide (mid player for Solomid) and Nyjacky's guide (Team Curse) for some variety.

The only shitty thing about elo is the tiering at the beginning.  This might be, but probably isn't, what Merry is talking about.

Example: I am 14/13 s3.  if I won my first 14 games and lost my last 13 games I would be 104 elo higher then what I am now.  If I lost my first 13 and won my last 14 I would be ~100 lower.

Obviously it will balances out in the end but it takes a lot longer.  It is frustrating to see ppl who are worse then you at 200+ elo then where you are simply because they ended up winning those first games.

The mia thing is soooo frustrating.  It is completely a blame tool.   It serves a purpose in the mid laning phase when mid starts roaming or top drops down.  It is helpful to tell your teammate.  Should it be relied upon? Nope!
