You cannot rely on Shroud for anything. Beyond a certain point in Elo, people will just shove the lane, recall, get a pink and kill you... or bring a pink to begin with. Lee Sin will kill you for free at level 3 too, don't ever try to fight him.

As other people have said, he scales better with resists because he can refill his shield. Only get health if he is getting CC'd a lot and can't fill the shield, or if he's getting blown up before his spells come off cooldown.

Irelia still crushes a lot of lane matchups and is still a strong assassin while building tank. Also, Zephyr allows you to build Ninja Tabi and still plan for Tenacity. It's not a noob trap, but neither would you want to rush it.

1) QSS. It is NOT a disadvantage 'forcing' them to buy QSS. Would I pay 1550 to make a champ nearly irrelevant to me? You bet, that's a steal.
2) easily counterpicked (Morg, Lux, Orianna...etc)
3) In a teamfight, who do you want to ult? The AD/AP. Who is in range to ult? The tank and the bruiser, both of which can probably break it when you ult the other. If you throw your spells at them, you're doing it wrong, yet they are the only targets you can hit.
4) People usually don't play protect comps in ranked, if you can get it to work on a 5v5 team gj but that doesn't help the majority of us who are solo.

Why does it make a difference how many W/L your teammates have?  It may have a bearing on their familiarity with the game, but not on their level of talent.

When you claim that your teammates are causing your losses, there is only one point of commonality among those games: you.  If your loss rate is that high, then you should be looking at yourself for places to improve.

OP: You need to adapt. I assume you are talking about draft, because in blind pick anyone can get countered anywhere. Complaining about being counterpicked in blind is like complaining about losing the lottery. Set up a rune/mastery page and buy proper starting items - you will do much better. I believe Riot also said they were brainstorming early armor AP items, so the problem may not last that long.

He's not at all overpowered. He has quite a strong lane phase, particularly if you play mind games during champ select - he can do top, mid or jungle all very competently. You have no idea where he'll be if another flex champ was taken (Diana, Elise, Olaf...) and if you DO counter him, he can role swap so it's actually rather hard to counterpick him. Furthermore, he does exceptionally well against the FOTM AD caster mids, so right now he *seems* stronger than he actually is.

I do not deny that Hashinshin may have valid points, I just dislike his style of ranting and whining to get it across - the objective math based posts of ADV appeal to me more.
