I don't disrespect anyone until I am given good reasons to do so. My default is to assume they deserve respect; innocent until proven guilty, I suppose.
The problem you face is that those who read your article and care are those who are not the problem. Those who are the problem either don't read about such things or do not care. Among those, most cannot or will not change. And as noble as this articles intentions are, an article will not, 90% of the time, improve or change a persons habits. Those that put down others for no apparent reason do not do so logically and therefore cannot be persuaded logically.
The best you can do you have done. And in fact, your responses and discussion are more useful than even the article itself.

The gender point that you just made is really weak Gustaf. My account name is Jocular, and by just the definition of the name there is no way to determine my gender.
I am not racist nor am I sexist, but from my experience people use both terms like it gives them diplomatic immunity. Women want "equality" by receiving both benefits without the negative things that go with it. I honestly cannot fully fathom why people don't just drop the issues, because honestly, bringing them up over and over doesn't make them go away. Short of brainwashing the insufferable idiots of the world you can't make things like that disappear.
I'll never be able to compete in any sort of professional sports capacity. I'm just slightly too short and slightly too slow and in general, slightly to physically incapable to compete in most of the professional sports (and some, much more than slightly). Regardless of my race or gender, I am not equal (physically) to nearly everyone on the planet; and I'm not so naïve as to think I should necessarily be treated the same. No one will ask for my autograph and I'm fine with that.
If I ever want to compete professionally and be treated as an equal in any sports arena, I'm going to earn my "equality" (respect). Realizing the world is not ideal and that people have bias' and preconceived (incorrect or otherwise) notions of sex and race is only the first step in realizing there is no such thing as equality. It's called respect and depending on who you're dealing with, and who you are, it may be difficult or nearly impossible to earn. -

I'm monogamous. I can only have a love affair with one of those.

Why not just make more champions more difficult to play and keep the "beginner champions" where they're at? It's not like Riot isn't forced into doing that already; they're just not consciously designing to that end.

I'm glad he does. Can you imagine how much worse/chaotic the game would be if they tried catering to all the people who possess such little understanding/information?
I don't pretend to know everything, but Riot almost always seems justified in my eyes whenever they make a move; either I'm a subconscious fan-boy or I'm with Riot and a step ahead of the general community. -

Agreed. But it's interesting how Curse plays almost exactly the opposite as CLG; hyper carry and tanks, or support carry with damage?

It doesn't even necessarily have to be about marketing; you'd be surprised how many of the "popular" champions within the community are also popular within the Riot team. Because design work is art it requires a certain amount of inspiration. This means that the idea guy/team for skins won't be thinking of brilliant ideas for every champion equally. Instead they'll have their own biases and favorites and ideas for those, like people who aren't robots.
Riot isn't a machine; it's a smaller community of slightly more mature and much more experiencedkidsadults who love to play League of Legends. Very few of those (or at least a small percentage) are business-minded, and while those guys ultimately make the final calls, they don't do anything to further ideas or spark inspiration within the game. -

Agreed. Lee is my favorite champion, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Maybe you didn't read the article thoroughly because I can assure you from a 3rd-person perspective, you guys are both in agreement on the topic.
