Man your articles suck sometimes. I literally learned nothing from this. You've just made some wild statements with pretty much nothing to back it up. Cmon brah, the other posters are blowing you out of the water.

If you're watching LoL streams because the person streaming is hot, rather than for the actual gameplay, then you are one of those people that gives gamers a reputation as creeps. Even worse are the people that try to flirt with them in twitch chat, and you can see her throw up in her mouth a little. People like that are the main reason we dont see a lot of female streamers and why female gamers prefer to keep their gender to themselves.

For MR? Shut up
Teamwide sheilds are way more efficient for damage mitigation. Keep your comments to yourself if you dont understand what your talking about.

People who trivialise what a support does are truely, truely outrageous morons. And Im truely suprised youre trivialising jungle too, one of the few roles where absolute map awareness is needed, along with the understanding of how the lanes are going to change over the next few minutes from whatever information you have managed to observe and then you have to anticipate where the enemy jungler is too.

supporting in league of legends is not fun... period... i dont even understand why players play support !
When you are support the adc blames you for fails , everyone asks for wards the whole game instead of buying some wards and helping , if you take CS the adc says he will go afk and you cant even buy items cause you have to buy wards / wards / sighstone / pinks and maybe more wards!
Amazing RIOT , and this is why when i play support in rankeds i only play tresh or troll , cause at least tresh is fun and demanding . Otherwise just start picking mages for support or even garen .. At least you have fun supporting
You are everything wrong with ranked. "Play thresh or troll" is exactly the same as "Mid or feed". Your simple minded attitude to this game is why youre stuck in bronze or silver V. People like you are why people avoid duo lanes.
Support isnt a role focused on dealing damage, its all about control. Controlling the map, controlling the lane, crowd controlling enemy champions. I love supporting, you dont usually get the thanks you deserve, but you are the one winning the game. And im not shallow enough to need a pat on the head all the time.
If your adc is blaming you then its likely you deserve to be blamed. If youre taking his cs, you shouldnt be. If youre not warding then youre a bad support and deserve the ridicule. People need wards in their lanes but its your JOB to ward as much as you can. Ward the whole map and watch your team win the game. You have plenty of gold to buy items. All your items are cheap, and you have one that GIVES YOU FREE WARDS. I think matey, the reason youre not having fun support, is because youre not a very good one.

Glitterlance pings, HG does not. Just keep everything warded as a support anyway.
You should pink it when you think you need it to not be there. Or to deny the enemy support one of their wards. I love doing it when they drop their last ward, meaning theyre blind until they go B, thereby losing experiance and if they risk staying, opening themselves up for a gank. Otherwise you'll be doing it when you want to do dragon safely and discreetly, or when your jungler is moving in for a gank. I usually wouldnt bother pinking too often outside of objectives, unless you need it really, and I very rarely pink lane bushes, unless Im leona or taric and need to be close. Its fine to be seen sometimes, as you can use this to zone your opponent, but if you really want to get the kills, you dont want to be seen and you want to get the jump on them.
Its all about assessing the situation as a support, what needs to be done and when is it best and safest to do so. Those are the traits of a good support. Remember, your adc doesnt make plays, you make the plays. Make sure you make good ones.

Blind only affects auto-attacks, not abilities, as Bomkirby has said, try reproduce your results, you'll likely find you were mistaken. Otherwise its a bug and you should report it to riot on their official bug report forums, not here, on this fan site.

How to play ranked support and win your lane 101:
- Pick Janna if you want to protect your adc, lulu if you want to harass the enemy, taric or leona if you want to be really aggressive. I tend to avoid leona, as if youre not winning your lane, she becomes quite weak, shes an all-in support, and you need to be either on equal footing, or ahead to be able to afford to go all-in.
For Janna: Max CDR, pick up all the cdr masteries and start fairie+wards+pots. Buy kages, then Sightstone, then morelonomicon, then runic and whatever else your team needs item-wise. Dont get CDR boots if you plan on getting shurelias or locket.
For lulu: Same start, same gp10, then a chalice that you'll build into mikael's after aegis, locket. Optionally if you want shurelias start with a philo, but that reduces your poke. If you want to be defensive, level shield then w after 1 point in q at lvl1. To be aggressive put points in Q. Up to you if you want to level w second or not, some people put points into e until lane phase ends then max w. Poke with q and e, they both scale pretty much the same, and qs slow doesnt increase, however es sheild does. Getting the e -> q skillshots off is important too. Putting your e on an enemy, enemy minion or friendly lets you fire glitterlance from them. Useful for hitting fleeing enemies and poking under towers without risking return damage.
Taric and leona use standard philo-sightstone to locket/aegis/shurelias.
For someone like Zyra, I'd go for the Cdr build, get an aegis or locket then build pure ap.
Remember that youre mostly in charge of warding the map and pinking objectives. Doing so gives your team massive advantages, and wins games, seriously, dont underestimate this. Also be aware of timers for dragon, and the best (and safest) times to take dragon. Assume your team has no idea what they are doing and ping them in the right direction.
Im having a lot of sucess duoing with a mid laner or a jungle, who can both support bot if needs be, whereas I can stop the adc from feeding and hopefully get him fed. Janna and Lulu are my preferred supports at the moment, and Im working on getting better with zyra. So far we've worked our way up from bronze 4 to bronze 2(skipping b3) with only 2 losses, and Im doing my promos for b1, and Ive mostly won bot lane in every game. It helps that support is my main role, but its one of those roles you really need to learn if you want to rise the ranks.

I just buy wards, you wont be throwing down too many to justify it, and youre putting off your locket and aegis if you do.
