I'll keep this post short since it's almost 2 AM for me here.

A very interesting way to win a game I've found to be playing something nobody in your ELO knows how to beat. For instance, in silver ELO mid Kha'Zix with fort pot start is guaranteed to get a level 2-3 first blood, that is, unless the mid/jungler have any idea of what you are going to do, in which case they don't belong in silver anyway IMO because people that belong in silver don't usually have high micro skills and the silver junglers almost never gank pre-4.

Something even cooler is playing Fiddle support. Yea, you heard me. I beat a Thresh Cait lane with my ADC being MF the other day. Here comes the good part:our Jax top went exhaust/ignite(yea, no flash) and fed their Riven hard, then she started roaming to try and kill us in teamfights. We beat them 4v5 because other than her, nobody else was fed and I kept her away with my 3 second fear and my 1 second silence, giving her very little time to do anything in teamfights. Lategame we won because their Jarvan was being a typical low-ELO jungler and kept ulting a Fiddle-MF-Kennen teamcomp, effectively murdering his team. Yes, I was flamed at in champ select, however I picked Fiddle knowing I could stop the conflict that already started between my ADC and our toplane in champ select because he wanted to go top instead through playing support and getting him fed while protecting him in teamfights.

Alright, I guess I'm going too long. To keep it short and simple, play something out of the ordinary/hard to beat. What I've found so far is this:Zed and Kha'Zix are Silver mid lane kings, Fiddle dominates all the supports,(except Leona I guess, have yet to try that match-up, I figure she would be hard because no matter what, if she really wants she WILL engage), Darius will dunk all day long, while Renekton beats everything Darius can't. I've yet to find a dominant jungler and AD Carry, at least one that I'm confident enough I can pubstomp with(although Tristana and Hecarim seem to be working nicely for me lately).

Oh and one more thing, I couldn't help but notice you think Plat games are better. I've played a premade with a Diamond player and got pitted against 2 Diamonds and a Platinum, I beat the Diamond player in lane(yea, me, a Silver 4) and then we won the game. Needless to say, it was close because I won the lane, but didn't stomp, while every other lane went a bit even. The game, however, was amazing. It had that special sense of thrill, the amazing prolonged teamfights that you never see in silver(you know, the AD carry never tries to dive like an assassin or a tank, everybody actually knows what they have to do) and the 5-men-together-at-all-time thing made me feel like I'm in a very special place. That's the reason I want to climb myself. I want that sort of gameplay again. I want to feel like I'm having a great time, not like I'm just rolling over somebody, like somebody is rolling over me or like I'm babysitting some 5 year old kids. I want to be on even grounds with everybody and everybody, including me, having a cool, laid back attitude enjoying a nice game of LoL on a nice afternoon.

Sorry for the long post, got carried away I guess.

Or just take Kog, armor 5 pots, farm to a godly midgame/lategame. You're welcome.

On a side note, people also tend to remember bad experiences over good ones, as well as having a more narcissistic view. I always see the "trolls threw my promotion series" threads, but I have never seen a "I don't deserve this free ELO from my last two games where someone on the enemy team quit" thread. Point is, people always complain about things when it's bad for them, but forget the times where it has been in their favor. And this goes full circle back to the 4/5 thing.

I am actually someone that agreed I didn't deserve to win because the enemy team had a leaver/feeder/troll. I posted it on a couple occasions on the League forums, but I stopped updating that post due to laziness. Also ELO Hell, for me, is a place where people just do retarded stuff for no reason whatsoever(Note:retarded=diving the enemy when their Shen is level 6, so is TF and their jungler is coming on that lane to gank)

people at every elo do stupid stuff. even real stupid stuff. i think elo hell is a mixture of people not being able to see their own mistakes in a game and just see the mistakes of the teammates , overrating of their own skills, and the effect that people rather remember the games in which a troll/ leaver in their team lost the game instead of the ones it happened to the enemy team

I disagree, the "stupid" a Bronze player does is not the same "stupid" a Diamond player does. A stupid Diamond play would be not ganking a Zed right away if the window is given before he gets his shadow or when it's on cooldown. A stupid Bronze play is diving a Taric Ashe lane at level 6 when you are even in just about everything.

Recently I've gone on a wicked losing streak. But I mean, horrible. I've gone from Silver II, being up for promotion, to 6 LP in Silver IV. And from the most ridiculous things. I had a 5-2-5 Rumble after lane phase, and our 6-2 Pantheon decided to AFK because Voli was farming mid. Even though we'd just aced them twice.

I just played a game as Teemo top. I won my lane decisively, came down, got off successful gank on bot, took drake. We were way ahead. Zyra ends up getting caught and they get 3 kills on team mates who try save her. We manage to turtle and defend. Then Fiddle tries to ult from lane and gets stunned, so I drop a shroom and slow to protect him. He ends up dying and raging at me for getting caught. We manage to kill Taric and go for Baron, but Zyra burns her ult on Baron and when they come they manage to kill us 4v5 because no one peels off of our fed Quinn.

Another game, go 5-0 in lane, 3 kills on GP and 2 on jungle Nasus as Kennen. In that time bot has fed 6 kills to Ez and mid 5 to Diana. Nothing I could do. I tried. I just couldn't do anything. By the time I came down Diana and Ez were there and could just instagib me. This sort of stuff just keeps happening.

Maybe it's me. Maybe I should be carrying harder. I used to think that way. But I feel so damn apathetic about this game right now I just wanna rage quit and assume that I'm a total failure. It's possibly been the worst 2 days of games in my history of playing League.

I feel you bro, that's exactly how I went from Gold V to Silver IV with 0 LP in less than a month. It's unbelievable how bad people are, both gaming wise and as a person, at this low ELO. I don't know how people are at higher ELO's, but at least they should know basic mechanics if they are that high, right?

Frozen is not a GOOD item, it's a GREAT item. Probably the most cost efficient item right now(excluding Doran's), even if you miss out on the mana on Renek, I wouldn't pass on it if I am the tank for my team. That being said, I'd get Randuin's if I'm the bruiser and I'm diving their AD Carry to slow them, because the slow on Randuin's is OP :D However it might depend on their setup as well, a champion that auto-attacks a lot and has high range (Tristana) will be hurt by your Randuin's more than your FH even if you don't dive her because of the passive.
