Link is the second best mid NA after Nyjacky, and Bigfatjiji fell off that list AGES ago. I think he was a primary reason that CLG has been failing this long, not the roster changes. I think that dropping Saint sucked, because Chauster is a great player, but not yet a legendary jungler. Unfortunately, Saint didn't have that team chemistry with CLG. Fortunately, I believe Aphromoo was a solid pick-up, and he will continue to evolve into the best support NA. I actually said months ago that they needed to drop BigfatLP for Link, and I'm glad to finally see this change surface. I think Hotshot can rise up as a legendary top-laner again, but he'll need to keep working on being adaptable.

I agree with the points about chemistry and communication, I disagree with the points about star players. While teams may have these, no pro team builds their strategy around "getting a star player fed". This strategy is inherently flawed because you want to minimize your own weaknesses, and exploit your opponent's, and this means that having such a linear core strategy is a recipe for failure against other top teams.

While I personally enjoy to use AP Soraka mid, this Champion is a poor choice in both solo queue and competitive play, and I don't see why she is currently tier 2, while a popular and powerful support like Sona is Tier 3. Sona is a very "obvious to follow up" character, and is a hugely successful support that I feel outweights Soraka.
