Currently Plat III on my way to Plat II, but I don't play ranked solo queue too often. Recently though I've been playing little by little to see how high I can get and at this point it seems pretty easy so I think I can get to Plat I pretty easily if not diamond.
My Diana games are just from 3s so don't get confused (and so are most of the other non-support champs), I primarily play support in solo queue, and if the position is taken I just play whatever champ to fill the role. I was trying Warwick support out for a while as well.
Climbing elo with support in my opinion is the easiest thing to do. I admit, there are going to be some games where you personally can't do anything else, and you're just going to be prolonging an inevitable game. But you just have to shrug it off and keep on trying.
In an average game, I average around 20-30 consumable wards (not including sight stone wards) according to http://quickfind.kassad.in/profile/na/KnowsGogetaSS4/
I've noticed how much wards affect your team's game play. Sometimes I feel as though I'm just warding and letting my team do all the hard work, it's too easy. It's a steal if you ask me.
Item choices are also very important. Aura items especially, and make sure to use the activate abilities or you're not using your items to its full potential.
My choice of summoner spells are heal and exhuast though so the jungler does tend to come bot lane a lot, but hey it takes pressure off all the other lanes :D
My champion choices are Nunu, Lulu, Nami, Leona, Taric. I never play Blitzcrank or Thresh :( even though Thresh is probably the best support as of now. But just knowing how easy it is to counter Blitzcrank or Thresh, I'm always hoping the enemy team decides to pick them instead. I actually hate playing against Sona, but that's probably the only champion I hate playing against.

Your mmr is too low. When you reach the next tier, they want to make sure you deserve to be there, and it isn't fair if throughout your entire experience in a certain league you were matched with people who weren't up to par with the division you currently stand compared to someone else who's getting matched with stronger players. Say you lose a bunch of games in division V, since you can't go lower than division V (if you keep playing), there is a hidden mmr (that you cannot find out) that is being kept track of. Once you start winning a bunch of games, you will find yourself losing more points than you gain (if your mmr is low enough). If this is the case, the system is telling you that you are facing people much weaker than you, and therefore you shouldn't be getting rewarded as much for winning but rather punished more severely for losing. I say the players are "weaker" because they are not up to par with your visible rating but rather your mmr.

I actually believe Rammus has the record with nine-thousand something. But Hecarim is more fun to watch, since Rammus just kind of teleported to top lane in less than half a second.
hecarim is the record with 10,314
yeah I know, need more people to perform it with sword of the occult.

The sad thing about this is I'm pretty sure Skarner is disabled from using Thresh's lantern while ulting, just like flash is disabled.oh man, and I was so ready to try it. Skarner/Thresh/Blitz/Lee Sin/Tristana/Alistar or Poppy oh man

Even though Blitz's grab can get the distance, I think going Skarner first with his pull, with the Thresh lantern, with Skarner dashing to Thresh, then Blitz grabs, with Thresh cockblocking the way seems like a better combo. Nice video by the way. On a side note, since you were using Sejuani or if anyone else knows?, did they patch a bug where if Sejuani rams with her Q into a wall like Jarvan or Anivia she well break it?
And here I thought breaking the walls was part of her kit.
No seriously, it was totally a part of the Boar riding madness, like a hidden passive. Why would they remove something so awesomely underused?
yeah it was awesome! here's the link to it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8RnGNnTxac
