Penetration changes made Haunting Guise powerful, and it finally has an upgrade that's why.

How about this then? Nashor - Lichbane - DFG - Rabadon - Malady - Sorc.

You get penetration, you get MS, you get AS, you get on hit bonus, you get CDR.

All you leave behind is 300 HP and Liandry Proc. Seems better to me.

Muramana procs with missiles, and E stacks BC like crazy. Combined with innate armor shred, he can deal some extra damage while being extra tanky.

Muramana, Frozen Heart, Black Cleaver, Mercury, Mercurial Scimitar look great on paper, while leaving 1 more item slot.

Urgot also benefits a lot from Mikael's Crucible (MR, Mana, Mana reg)

Everything looks solid, and if purchased a LW as a last item, he should be able to deal a lot of damage come late game, because the nerfs on costs means that the above build isn't possible to get come 25 min mark.

Acid Hunter does proc Muramana. And furthermore, Urgot can make good use of Mikael's Crucible if you go for an early chalice.

Muramana is great for AoE builds that doesn't utilise crit. (AKA, Runaan's Hurricane. Procs it 3 times, gives you immense burst at the start of the fight)

Kog with Muramana, Blade of the Ruined King, Runaan, Zephyr, Guardian and boots is deadly. Everything procs, and you shred things with 2.1 attack speed. (More since you probably are running along with a Nunu.) He has no problems whatsoever on stacking either the tear or Manamune, and allows him to use his ultimate whenever he pleases.

Since Manamune also gives 4 mana instead of 1 on autoattacks, it is also much faster to stack even when rushed. Urgot and Yorick can stack the item fully much earlier compared to Season 2, as getting 1 mana from an autoattack did hurt your speed when it caused the proc to go on cooldown.

Everything considered, Muramana does have a synergy with Runaan's Hurricane, and may be considered in AoE builds that doesn't utilise crit.

For Utility, Rylai, Liandra, WoTA. Merc, RoA, Rabadon. You survive, slow, deal decent damage.

For Damage: RoA, Merc, Rylai, DFG, Rab, Void. You deal damage, you depend on your health.

All Rounder: RoA, Zhonya, Merc, Abyssal, Rabadon, Athene.

My favorite: Going Glacial Shroud on top of Chalice and Catalyst. Mid aggressive? No problem. Jungler came in? No problem. Need CDR? No problem.Ult up? Here, let me stay that way for about 2 minutes.

Merc, Abyssal, Athene, RoA, Frozen Heart, Rabadon. I'm sacrificing spell penetration, for in my experience, maximum trolling. Maybe, just maybe, I can squeeze in Archangel instead of Abyssal. (Since the MR got nerfed and Swain can stack Archangel like a boss now.)

  • posted a message on What do you guys think of the Machete + upgrades?

I am really unsure about how it did happen, but Machete turns Nautilus into a beast in terms of clear speed, compared to his previous state in S2. You can go around non-stop farming inside jungle without losing any HP or mana once you level your shield to level 2 at LVL 3, and get Spirit stone on your first clear. His shield scales with HP, and you can get Ninja-Sorc-Ionian instead of Mercs. He loves the new jungle gear.

Spirit of Elder Lizard deals quite nice damage on hands of Volibear (Ult procs it. Rylai, Lizard, Wit's End Voli is quite scary.), Pantheon (Heartseeker procs it on the entire team. Plus it effectively adds 66 True damage to each Spearshot.) and Darius. (No need to explain this one. Synergy between his DoT and Lizard is great. He probably is the reason why it doesn't proc on Damage over time effects.)

Spirit of Ancient Wraith makes Fiddle into one scary beast. He just won't go down while draining. You can get it easily, and it gives Spellvamp to someone who can abuse it.

I didn't usually prefer Wriggles while jungling in S2, so Rengar being forced on Wriggles wasn't very fun for me. But he makes great use of it anyway. Upcoming nerf to his W sustain will make him depend on it even more.

I like the new jungle. I love it when Ad-Supp or Solo top tries to take the first or second golems. (Takes too long to worth the effort, while Support takes a good beating and AD is ok, Solo top isn't so lucky.) I usually let Golems be taken by laners because I've always found them to deal too much damage to worth clearing, making me lose too much HP on non-sustain junglers. Now, they drop like flies once you get Spirit Stone. Given their increased gold reward, I like the change even better.

From mids, I've only seen Zyra being able to clear and deal with the Wraiths fast enough and from the lane as opposed to "walking to the camp" like Riot wanted. Reason is quite obvious.

WW can also make good use out of Lizard, but he kinda needs a goddamn dash skill or slow to be damn effective with everyone jumping away from him.

  • posted a message on (Home Gaurd) Hyperspeed Teleport Ganking

The fastest solution is to remove the Homeguard speed, which means to put the wielder into combat. I don't think that gank would ever work against a Lulu, for example.

It's like a MF passive on steroids. A whole hella lot of steroids, but still. I think Homeguard+Teleport would be better suited on a toplane.

  • posted a message on Talon, Renekton and stacking Black Cleaver

Reason for the jungle was solely based upon getting tenacity from something other than boots so I can grab Ionian.

He should be able to gather enough cash for that build on top lane, probably switching Ionian for Mercs and Spirit for Randuin so he keeps HP and just loses on CDR. Perhaps Frozen Mallet instead of Randuin but then armor drops too low.

His first clear in jungle is too slow, but he should be able to go toe to toe with the opposing jungler with Arpen Runes. He won't be top tier sure, but perhaps a 2nd tier jungler.

Just opened Talon on Beta to give him a try. BC, BC, LW, Ninja, Runic, Manamune. Muramana ends up giving 55 AD, and 120 Damage bonus when you are full on mana. Which is pretty low, but it allowed me to keep pressure on top lane.

End result is a Talon with 150 Armor, 140 MR, and 3k HP. He survives allright, and well, no one else is able to. Along with his damage bonus on E, you jump on someone, they die, or pop zhonyas. Grabbed 4% CDR instead of AS on top tier in masteries and Talon is able to dish out some damage. How viable that can be remains to seen.

Too bad he still can't jungle. If the assasins rise as they were promised to, there will be action in jungle from Zed, Fiora and Yi. Wish Talon could also end up in that list. (Giving his bleed on monsters maybe?)

  • posted a message on Talon, Renekton and stacking Black Cleaver

With the hopes of Black Cleaver stacking with itself goes in the upcoming days, here goes nothing.

I just tried out Renekton Jungle in Beta. End result was surprisingly good compared to current version of him. (Both top and jungle-wise.)

My runes were Arpen Reds and Quints, Armor Seals and MR Per Level glyphs. 21-9-0 mastery, taking monster damage reduction rather than HP and giving 2 points for both Armor and MR.

Spirit of the Ancient Golem, Ionian Boots, Black Cleaver, Black Cleaver, Last Whisper, Runic Bulwark. Black Cleavers stack everything except for the max number of stacks on the debuff. (So 30 Arpen, 20% CDR do stack, and ofcourse adding 500 HP and 100 AD.)

Complete stats at LVL 18 were: 3400 HP, 160 Armor, 140 MR, 35% CDR, 54 Flat, 40% Arpen. 264 AD. (I don't think AS is an issue for this build.) An anti-armor alligator. I think there can be several adjustments done with marks and quints, but overall the damage just kept staying high. Armor and MR are low, (maybe ok for a damage oriented bruiser) but there is plenty HP, hitting 4k with ult up. You get tenacity from the Spirit so there is that too.

End result is you get 35% from slice-dice which applies all 4 stacks of BC debuff, (%25) with 40% base and further 54 flat armor penetration. I'm not really the one to do the math, so I'll leave that to theory crafters.

Cost of the build is high, but you get to carry Bulwark around so getting Aegis and upgrading later may give you some breathing room.

A similar build with Talon, just swapping Spirit with TForce and getting Mercs instead of Ionians should prove effective on solo top. Haven't done testing for that but the reason I'm bringing up Talon is that it is way too easy to apply all 4 stacks of the debuff. Just 1 W or R, and BC stacks are on everyone. If you can position on the team fight you can keep the stacks alive for a very long duration.

I'm hopeful for these two in Season 3, What do you guys think?

  • posted a message on is pantheon currently the worst champion in the game?

Yeah I agree 5% less spellvamp won't mean much on panth, or even rene for that matter. (Stacks with his Q anyway.) What I thought is, since they nerfed the spellvamp portion, and not the other areas (I thought it would receive a HP nerf, or AD) I'm thinking Pillager is not their only item that gives AD and Spellvamp. (Gunblade doesn't count, I'm thinking an item for AD Casters only, not a hybrid one.)

So far, I'm getting good results with AD caster Pant. (Youmuu + Brut) 66 ArPen, which would go to 71 with Pillager is enough to destroy an AD or AP Carry, and I get to keep my item slots to build up tanky. I'm the assasin, I don't need to decimate the tank, I need to make their damage dealers vaporize.

I like AD caster type. I always loved Renekton and Pantheon and I'm happy that at least Pantheon can be better with a few extra items designed towards his playstyle.
