Cho'Gath and Naut do substantially better with AS marks.

While I completely agree with you when it comes to Cho, I think Nautilus doesn't profit that much from AS. He gets a DoT from his W that only refreshes with more attacks, and it won't run out if you keep attacking a jungle creep whether you have AS marks or not. His passive also deals some good physical damage and doesn't refresh earlier with more AS.

  • posted a message on What to do when new players don't listen?

The real trouble begins when they get to level 30, start ranked and somehow reach gold V. After that they won't even listen to anything you say, since they're obviously better players than you now (despite losing every 1v1 they challenge you to, and don't get me started on the objective taking topic).

Recently, I had one of my friends refuse to get a locket, or even aegis because "its useless crap". You can't argue with such people and such statements.

My advice is to simply play the best YOU can for yourself and simply let them make their mistakes. Don't comment on them, don't give any advice for some time. At some point some of them will say "I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I just keep losing" (some others will evolve into ragekids - forget them forever) and then you can reply "well, let's just search for some good guides on youtube" and let THEM discover the stuff you want to teach them. Never ever go "I told you long ago what you're doing wrong", they won't ever listen.

  • posted a message on State of Phage?

Sure, phage is rather inefficient stat-wise, but if you get a lucky slow proc, it's suddenly OP. (look at season 2 Ez/Corki).

I have a question: Does the slow chance is treated similar to the crit algorithm? I.E. does the chance start with less than 25% and build up with every non-proc attack, or is it always 25%? If it's the latter they should probably change it and make it cheaper again to take out some of the randomness that made this item so hard to handle.

Why not both? BT first since you already have some armor pen (and should have it on some runes as well), then LW.

People usually overstay their welcome once the inhib is down and everyone is expecting the final push. Often enough that leads to bad engages, lost teamfights and so forth, which then lets the defending team catch up sometimes.

  • posted a message on Spirit of the Elder Lizard on ADC?

TPA Bebe introduced a modified ezreal build where he rushed Elder Lizard, then went Iceborn Gauntlet and finally some big AD item in addition to CDR boots. With thees items and some masteries you can get 39% CDR , which means you will be able to spam your Qs like there's no tomorrow, which will then apply an AoE damage slow and a true damage DoT to one target. His W also gets useful again to apply the DoT. And finally his Arcane shift gets to around 6 seconds cooldown, meaning that almost nothing can catch you. Of course you will lose your teamfighting power and become a spammy poke machine instead.

That being said, any ADC who leans more towards being a caster (Ezreal, Corki) can actually make good use of SotEL; I'm not sure about MF's E and Ult though. Full AD casters like Kha'Zix benefit from pretty much every stat on this, and damn, it's cost efficient.

  • posted a message on Question about the Health Meta.

Last Whisper is still a must-buy on AD carries (except Corki) and most AD casters. Most AP mids want Void staff as well; AP brawlers, like Elise and Rumble, usually stack all 3 flat penetration items to deal their damage one-to-one until someone buys MR.

The "health meta" doesn't mean that no one is getting resistances anymore - It just means that getting over 3000 health is much more viable than in season 2. Due to armor seals, the popular Locket of the Iron Solari, Randuin's etc. you'll still have at least 200 armor on most tanks late game, with sometimes around 100 armor after just 15 minutes. Which means that LW/Void Staff is still very important on your main damage dealers.

Cho'gath maybe. Good CC, high base damage and free health from his ult.

The friends I play with are literally doing the exact opposite of what you write here, and won't listen to me because they got carried into a higher league. I need new friends.
