    0.9 AP ratio on ult.

    What about Bruta, actually?

Brutalizer doesn't build into anything Ez wants or needs. You don't lose much gold for selling it back, but it's probably a better idea to build something else.

When I play as Ez, my build often changes. I'll usually start boots + pots, unless I have a support with some sustain. Or if I want rush an early vamp scepter or phage, I'll start long sword + pots (phage rush is much weaker than is used to be). I would usually buy a doran's blade on my first back (If I don't already have one) or try to get an early vamp scepter. But other posters are right, if you can save up for a BF sword before your first return, that would be ideal.

    Well, here's my two cents:

Ryze is kind of like Vayne or Kha' Zix. They aren't particularly strong early or mid game, but once late game hits and they have their core items, they get ridiculously strong. It's sort of the trade-off you make for characters like them. Your early game isn't great, but the late game is awesome. You just have to decide if that trade-off is worth it.

So ultimately, I think Ryze is pretty well-balanced. If he was totally OP, we'd be seeing more of him in the LCS and the competitive scene.

  • posted a message on Ahri or Kassadin

Ahri is a lot safer than Kassadin in almost all scenarios.

Kass has to get close to deal the majority of his damage, whereas Ahri can poke, kite, and escape from just about anything. her ult gives you THREE flashes on a short cooldown, that also do damage, ranged, hard CC, AOE true damage, and a spell that can proc Rylai's on 3 different people at once, while still getting the full 35% slow. Ahri is a jack-of-all trades that is more about the player's skill than her being OP or anything. Riot has stated that they think Ahri is pretty close to perfectly balanced, and I would agree. She's a champ that rewards you for playing well, even more so than Kass, I would say.

In my opinion, the only things Kassadin has on Ahri are his silence, and how his mobility is available more often then Ahri's.

Kass will certainly clean up after a team fight better than Ahri will, but Ahril will deal a lot more damage over the course of the fight.

Pick Kasadin if you feel like playing hyper-aggressively. Pick Ahri for...well, everything else, haha

I dunno, she just seems so useless in team fights. Quinn's a decent laner, but her ult is so useless for someone as squishy as an ADC, I'm not sure her intended role is even supposed to be. I almost wonder if she'd be better off building as a bruiser and going top lane or something.

I never see her anywhere, no doubt because she's so underpowered that there's not a single reason to pick her right now.

Why are you asking Riot to buff Riven on this forum? Riot employees don't check these forums.

It's hard not to say Weixiao. He's performed much better at international tourneys than Doublelift has.

I think general consensus here seems to be that Riot needs to stop doing knee-jerk reactions to OP champions and try to make their nerfs a little more gentle. We've been seeing the metagame change at an almost sickening rate over the past few months. First BC was OP, then it got nerfed. Then Warmog's was all the rage, but Riot nerfed that too. Now BoTRK is OP as all crap and everyone and their mother is building it.

Perhaps I should have started a thread more along the lines of this topic instead, because we're clearly unearthing a much larger issue here.

However, the reason I started it was because I love Olaf, and I was sad to see Riot overnerf him like they did, haha. Hopefully they'll do what they did with champs like Diana and buff him back up to the point where he's still perfectly viable, but not nearly so crazy.

I suppose Riot's idea is that it's easier to nerf four or five strong champions, than it is to figure out a way to buff everyone else into viability. I certainly don't blame them for not wanting to do it that way, because it would take insane amounts of time and resources. But you are correct; with a shifting metagame, Riot needs to make the appropriate balance changes, they just have a lot of catching up to do with all the stuff they added in season 3.
