I'm not making it personal, not just for me. In that scenario, it's unfair for the enemy team, and they do not get anything. I mean, it's not a 50/50 chance that we'll each have a leaver/troll. I accept what you're saying, but we don't automatically get put up against a 4 man team when we get a leaver, it's totally random

You probably should try to think about abuse cases of your ideas, before you decide what is fair and what isn't.

As it is, the current system is infinitely fairer than your suggestion and we really shouldn't need to tell you that.

If you think about consequences, you'll realize, why it's a stupid idea.

Edit: The hostitliy comes from your millions of predecessors who thought that your idea was new and has never been discussed before. Sorry.

If you understand my reasoning in building for burst early and transitioning to dps, How does your question arise?[...]

Hence lichbane synergises with hurricane (LOL)

The question arises, because your item build has some glaring disadvantages, that you don't seem to notice and consider at all. That's why I've try to get you to read the article. But don't get me wrong, I like cheesy and creative champion builds. However they still need to be properly executed. I was hoping to get you to realize the disadvantages yourself:

The transitioning from traditional AP-Twisted Fate to a DPS-oriented build sound nice in theory, but in practice you will lose a lot of poking power, still won't be able to harm bruisers and you'll have an even harder time positioning yourself than AD-carries, because of the lack of lifesteal and defensive items. You will basically be chased by bruisers, that you can't harm without Void Staff and killed instantly by assassins, whenever you try to actually utilize your theoretical DPS. (Edit: this is basically what Bystecillar tried to tell you too)

Your final build consists out of 6 damage items and you don't even include magic penetration. Penetration stats and defensive items are incredibly important during late game for squishy DPS champions. As such I strongly suggest, that you consider the opportunity costs of your items, because currently you're just stuffing flashy items together.

Either go for a Nashor's Hurricane build and figure out a solution to the survivability problem or build traditional AP Twisted Fate.

Last but not least, Hurricane and Lich Bane don't synergise. They just both happen increase your damage. Lich Bane scales with MPen, AP and cooldown reduction, none of which Hurricane offers. Hurricane scales directly with AD and on-hit effects that scale with AS, none of which Lich Bane offers. Hurricane scales indirectly with AP, because of Stacked Deck and Nashor's Tooth, but this would benefit much more from Void Staff.

Your E applies full slow, you have your W for slows

Are you sure about this one? On-hit effects don't apply Spellvamp, Liandry's and Rylai's, usually. But I never tested it with Stacked Deck. It might be an exception.

The point of having lich bane in the build is to transition from the point where you have high enough burst into having good sustained damage.

Since TF is commonly played as a single target burster, I will consider him as such.

Suppose you have reached the point where you can one shot your main target(adc).

Why itemize for more singletarget burst, when a lot of damage will be overkill?

Why not use the AP you already have to your advantage using his E and nashors to provide sustained dps for your team AFTER bursting the high priotiy target?

I understand your point of view, have you understood mine?

You've just repeated what you said earlier and I will not repeat myself, too.

Hurricane > auto-attacker's multi-target sustained damage item. Really, really bad. Shouldn't be built by ADCs with good range, let alone easily-focused AP mids.

LichBane > single-target burst item. Strong for burst, particularly for those with low AP ratios.

...These two on the same build makes so little sense.

I didn't mean to build Hurricane for sustained damage to more than 1 target.

    [...]

Aside from that, during laning phase having the Hurricane has you shoving waves like crazy without having to depend mostly on your Q and red card to push. And it adds a bit to your split pushing.

Don't know, this is just how I see it and my little experience with it, probably it won't ever be a competitive build. But it's fucking fun!

And yeah, it makes a really squishy champion.

The comparison between Lich Bane and Hurricane wasn't about how you intend to utilize them. The synergy between Hurricane and Stacked Deck is pretty obvious.

Hurricane might be a nice idea for Twisted Fate, if your goal is to achieve magical DPS. But combining it with Lich Bane is a bad idea, because both items work towards different goals.

You'd be better off building AP, MPen or survivability instead.

The pushing power of Runaan's Hurricane isn't a strong point, if you're building it on TF. With enough AP, he clears waves instantly with Wild Cards + Red Card and still insanely fast with Wild Cards + Blue Card + AAs. The pushing power is the last thing you need out of Runaan's Hurricane.

I preferred the ASAP fate as you dont lose out on your burst by having a respectable amount of AP, while still getting AS from runaans and nashors/wits end

Your build seems similar to bruiser teemo, I guess it could work well, just I prefer rylais to FM

Wit's End won't help you against magical damage a lot, when you're Twisted Fate. You need to build up stacks to get the full benefit and even then your max HP are low enough to still get you bursted down. Wit's End is a bruiser item, that doesn't scale well on squishy champions.

A general problem with your build is, that you look at "what you get", but not at "what you loose". Read this article about opportunity cost and you'll realize yourself, what you need to do to improve your build:

    Quote from Dub_Rio »

I don't think it's about learning, it's a matter of what is fun. If he plays with you guys he will likely just feed and have a pretty negative experience. That's not fun. It isn't fun stepping into a game where you know you're the worst player and you know 10 minutes in your opponent is likely going to be really fed off of you. Not everyone handles these situations well. Like sure some people are mature enough to look rationally at the loss and learn from it, others will just get pissed off or depressed and won't take anything from the game. I wouldn't pressure him into playing with you if he doesn't want to.

I couldn't agree more. Runes and masteries, winning and loosing doesn't matter, unless you make them matter. It's all about how your friend experiences fun in League of Legends and how YOU can influence his gaming experience. The best way to learn in such a situation, is to have fun while learning.

League of Legends isn't a job or a school project and people aren't obligated to spend their time on League of Legends. If your friend doesn't like playing at a disadvantage, there's nothing wrong with that.

You have to look for ways to improve his fun level while playing with you, until he gets to the same skill level. Unfortunately, there isn't an easy answer to your argument, because this isn't about rational reasoning.

Check out this guide. I can't agree with everything he writes/suggests, but I'm in no position to disagree.^^

I just ran accidentally into this guide, checking out TSM's featured guides:

AP Mundo was a thing during Season 2 for a while (mainly maxing W first, rushing Sunfire Cape and stacking MPen and defenses afterwards). Theoretically spoken, Liandry's Torment just improves this build.

However, Mundo suffers a lot of sustain issues pre-6. I don't know if he's really viable. I only played him for fun so far. If you somehow manage to get to level 6 without loosing too much farm, you can start to turn your lane around.

Alternatively, as others said, if you ward properly, you can push very hard with W, push your opponent under his tower and minimize the time he can spend trading with you.

I don't think maxing Cleaver first is the right choice, because the slow doesn't scale with levels and the damage does scale better with enemy health than with levels. Additionally, your opponent can hide behind minions and thus evade cleavers. It's basically a one-point wonder.

E and W are much better choices during the early game, because their flat damage deals comparably more damage during the early game, but less during late game.

Your decision is basically: E for duelling (and for classic bruiser builds), W for wave clearing ( and for AP bruiser builds)

afaik, Toxic Shot applies neither the passive of Liandry's nor Rylai's, because Toxic Shot is an on-hit effect. I'm only 80% sure, might be worth testing.

Liandry's Torment is still strong on Teemo, IF you want your mushrooms to hurt as much as possible.

But Rylai's isn't very useful for him, because only Blinding Dart will benefit significantly of the slow effect. (His shrooms already slow, as such the 15% will receive the 65% dimnishing returns penalty, resulting in a 47.375% slow. Not that much of a difference...)

I'm still a bit irritated Riot did such massive changes for a game they should fully know is very volatile.

They introduced these massive changes to introduce a new meta and stir things up. They will have to change the meta every now and then to keep players interested, because, if they do not, a lot of people will feel like the game is "solved" and move on.

Additionally, these meta reworks grant Riot the opportunity to let some unfavored champion classes rise, like they did with AD casters.

  • posted a message on Unable to tank a hit.

From what I'm taking out of your statements, you're still in the Season 2 mindset of "resistances, Resistances!" and trying to build the same old "Frozen heart and Force of Nature".

But at the start of Season 3, all health items got buffed, while all MR/Armor items got nerfed. As such you need to start valuing health a lot higher now. If you're only stacking resistances with Frozen Heart and Spirit Visage, then you're not tanky anymore.

Armor and magic resistance are still important, because they still scale with health.

This is the reason, why Aegis/Bulwark and Locket are that strong on junglers: They provide HP and resistances for low cost.

If you have more money, you want to prioritize Giant Belt items though, because these are very strong now. Besides Bulwark, Warmog's Armor is your bread and butter item against magical and mixed damage, while Sunfire Cape (early mid game) and Randuin's Omen (late game) are your most important items against physical damage.

Don't forget, burst champions can be countered with health too. As such you don't need to resort to Negatron Coak items. You can just build health as well against a lot of AP champions.

Frozen Heart is a very situational item now, because either Frozen Fist or Randuin's Omen are better in most situations. Frozen Heart might be worth it, if you're facing a Vayne and decide to counter Silver Bullets with Randuins + Frozen Heart.

    TL;DR:
You need to value health much higher. Build health AND resistances.

    Edit:
Don't be that afraid of BotRK. It's CURRENT health, not MAX health. Meanwhile, their ADC will still hit you critically with 250+ AD and their other champions will hit you with spells with base damages of 200+ damage (with AP or AD scaling on top).
