May be wrong, no expert:

Galio over Leblanc: LeBlanc is very squishy and can't combo Galio at level one. If Galio lands 2 or 3 Qs (resolute smite?) on LB then he should be able to dominate the lane. Later on Leblanc can't 1hit Galio as he normally builds MR and his shield (shield of durang?) heals him and grants even more MR. Also, if LB happens to get caught in ult (rare, LB should dash away) she's pretty much done for. She also will have a very hard time farming under turret and if she roams then Galio can push and get freefarm to a greater extent.

It's good to have a mix of all three things (hp, armour, MR). I can't do the math on this though. I'd say just make sure you have 3000 health, +150 armour and +120 MR (if only their mid is dealing AP dmg). There's some good damage tank items too, like Sunfire Cape and Abyssal Scepter.

Shen is better top, imo. Trade a bit with your enemy laner to test who comes out on top. If you do, push HARD and ward the river. If they come out on top, try to farm without provoking him. If he does go on you, you have plenty of survivability. Call your jungler to gank, it should be an easy kill if you land your taunt which is pretty easy. Keep an eye on botlane in particular and make sure your ults count.

Out of your champion pool, I'd say Amumu is the best jungler there. His engage and ult just dominates very late 5v5s if you pull them off right. If they have a champ that you think might counterjungle you (Olaf, Lee Sin etc) tell your mid/bot that he'll probably be camping your red, waiting, and hopefully you can get FB from it :). Make sure your team defends your blue, too. It's very hard to do well with Amumu if it gets stolen at level one.

^Kha'Zix can go mid, bro!

Either is great. However, if you can get fed while taking Kha'Zix mid then you should be able to win the game as long as you gank their other lanes. A good Orianna can carry but not as hard as a fed Kha'Zix (imo).

Blitzcrank will definately should dominate 100% against some matchups (enemy has sona, kogmaw, ashe etc). He's a good pick with the right teamcomp. Just DON'T GRAB THAT MUMMY. DON'T DO IT.

Pantheon, Kha'Zix, Talon, Riven and Lee Sin are all good picks in mid at the moment if you can pull off kills. Very good to gain elo where you are right now if you practice with it a bit. Also, if you do get fed as them make sure you gank bot/top to get them snowballing too. Especially if playing Pantheon.

Elo hell doesn't exist. Whatever happens in a game, you could have done something better. It might've not mattered but it will make you a better player overall if you achknowledge this and it will matter next time. Gank lanes even if you're mid, ward up, don't insult, be a positive player.

Duo Q also speeds up gaining elo if you have a reliable partner.

Sion is a great example. In game his axe is double-edged, in splash it has one edge/side/sharp pointy bit/whatever.

Doesn't matter AT ALL, but the discussion called for it :). Not complaining about it or anything.
