The only time I feel the rage rising is when someone plays horribly and then starts blaming other people.

(As in "bot stop feeding", after instalocking mid, and while I'm 1/2/0 and he's 0/5/0, and my only two deaths where due to his mid freely roaming and towerdiving)

And even then, my suggestion is: realize that you are speaking with an human being and not to a computer. That guy on the other side has feelings. And is probably an idiotic 12 years old who thinks he owns the world.

Would you scream in the face of a 12 years old? I wouldn't. I'd pat him on the head and say "there there", and that's it.

Try it next time. If he's an adult he will realize his mistakes on his own. If he's a kid well, he's a kid. No amount of screaming will change him or make him play better.

Will they ever realize that the problem with Quinn is that she has no ulti (she is not OP enough to be played as a bruiser, so that her ulti is useful), and that her range is too short for an ADC without escape?

ELO Hell is not a real place but a statistical one.

If you play enough game, then the feeders, leavers, ragers, AFKers will even out in your own and opponents' teams. If you don't play enough, it COULD happen that, of the 30 games you play, 20 will be tainted with the previous scum, giving you a perception of an "ELO hell".

This perception is made stronger due to the few placement matches. From my experience, for instance, of the10 placement matches I won 5 and lost 5. Of the 5 lost only 1 was lost due to having better opponents, the other 4 were due to leavers and "mid or feed"ers. Of the 5 won, viceversa, only 1 was due to a leaver in the opposing team, all the others (including a 4vs5 carried heavily by a fed Garen) were "normal" matches decided by the classical "baron fight".

I perfectly see that this kind of things could lead to the perception of an "hell". But statistics says something else.
And honestly I belive more in math than in perception.

  • posted a message on Akali's nerfs are unwarranted with HP pot limit of 5

    Quote from Gilgamarsh »

I think it's obvious that any Akali nerfs were unwarranted from a balance perspective. She wasn't OP in tournaments, she had a balanced win rate in solo queue. It's exactly the same issue as Darius: she is fairly easy to play but generally not fun to play against. Both of them can be countered, very hard in fact, but its champion dependent or often forces you to play passively, which is again not particularly enjoyable. But don't pretend she was actually overpowered.

    ^ This.

This is a game, not a job. A champion which makes the opponent's life miserable due to his kit (blitzcrank, akali, darius, etc) and not due to the player ability, has a problem which needs to be fixed.

However, for the new Akali, just be aware of jungler and go aggressive on her with almost any champion. She can be zoned really easily, her trading is considerably weaker, and even you make mistakes, chances are she doesn't have enough R stacks to follow.

Just to be precise: my comment was for pre-nerf Akali. I still haven't played against her after the nerf (even if it doesn't look like is this big of a thing)

When i play against Akali and she's fed, i was able to win (3rd time - pinks). When Diana is fed - you just cannot kill her while she bursts you in 1 combo and sustained dmg from passive (almost nobody notice it, but passive is quite OP)

Main difference is that in order to do so Diana has to be fed over her head, otherwise her burst is way lower. On the other hand Akali just needs a couple of kills and then snowballs. If you add the absurd spellvamp she has, and the triple free gapcloser, and the fact that she is manaless...

Honestly I feel that akali is way stronger, but Diana is safer: if you are owned/camped/whatever as Akali you are useless. Diana can still build tanky and act as initiator.

I think Akali deserved a stronger nerf... This one basically is nothing... I hoped for less jumps with her ulti, or a nerf to her huge sustain... :-(

So, "easy" should be less rewarding, but you still defend the OPbruisers against the more difficult to play squishy ADCs? Lol
