While I agree Snoopeh has grown tremendously as a player, his Amumu was always one of if not his best champions, and I don't believe it was more coincidence that he got better as the game shifted to champions that he was inherently better with.
My point isn't that individual skill isn't important sorry if I didn't make that clear. Obviously Jack is good and has gotten much better since he first joined Blaze. The point of my post is that it's easier to get better individually than it is to have the type of drive and dedication necessary to really improve.
Carrying games happens and players can put the team on their backs for a game or two, I'm talking big picture that taking a player who might be less skilled right now but more willing to practice and more willing to take criticism because of their personality etc is a better option.
CLG.EU wins games because of Froggen sure, but moreso they win because their teamfight is stronger than almost anyone else's late game. M5 wins because of the all out pressure they put on the map and how good Diamondprox synergizes with his solo laners.
We should all strive to do the mindset and secondary things because that's how you really get better and can surpass people that are more naturally gifted. Those willing to put the time and the effort and go into it the right way will win in the long-term and that's what you are seeing with the competitive scene right now
You'll get your wish at IPL 5, at least to have M5 come back to America but they have Visa issues and seem to not want to play often in tournaments that aren't in Europe and that's why you haven't seen them more, not because they weren't invited.
Moscow 5 hasn't played against a Korean team it's tough to say they are significantly better or worse. I agree that CLG.EU was unpracticed prior to this event, but lost badly to Najin Sword at worlds, and then was beaten by Azubu Frost before losing at this event.
Looking further at the EU scene, SK was beaten soundly by iG who is only the second best team in China. I agree with your point that M5 is certainly a formidable team and perhaps the best threat to Asian dominance we've seen of late, but to say that the European scene is better than Korea is a bit baseless.
The viability is only going to increase with different carries especially since teams are more willing to 2v1 top or even mid. It still depends on team compositions, but I think the days of just 3 ADs a tournament are over for awhile.
MashMe was still on TSM.EVO then and competed with them. Both teams lost in the opening round 0-2 to their opponents
They didn't play up the level they had been playing at in the past and the matches were best-of-1's. They faced Team Acer (a European team with CitizenWayne) in the first match and lost then lost to WE's second team WE-iRocks in the loser's bracket in a close match
I get where you are coming from and know he has been subbing for them, but their LAN lineup will be different and that's the point i was trying to make. The bottom lane of Dynamic, despite being "together" for almost two months is still going to its first major LAN and will be facing some of the best teams in the world. I can see where the confusion is coming from though and will word it differnetly
Well to be fair I was writing it very tongue-in-cheek so no harm done anywhere =P
