This thread is a paradigm for the human condition: the successful pretend that they deserve and are responsible their success, and the unsuccessful pretend that they have nothing to do with their lack of success. Both are delusional. =P
That's not true. If you match up platinums/diamonds vs bronzes/silvers you will notice huge gap of skills, knowlegde and decision making.
I do belive I deserve and that I'm responsible for my success. I had games in silver, gold and then platinum. I've fought my way there, I survived the trolls, feeders, afkers and everything else. Blame them if you want. If you want to get better however, pull your shit together, deepen your knowlegde, improve your skills, get more experiance.
Oh, but wait you can always make topics like this. Really I'm done will all the bullshit I've read here, but there are some good advices you can use :)
What are you talking about??! It's obvious we had 0 afks and trolls! It's not like in the old system - the one that a certain person wants back - reaching a higher tier was actuallly HARDER, which means if the guy who opened this thread eventually manages to get to Silver 5, in the old system he had to get 250 elo (now mmr) higher after that, to get out. Funny, right?
Also, imagine a system, where you can play free week champions on ranked, and where is no confirmation is necessary after a match has been found, so if someone went afk while queueing, still got into the game. Ooooh, and there were no "a summoner has failed to select a champion", no-no, we had to watch them random pick something, then play the 4v5!
Now that I think about it, give that guy a taste from the old system, where he would've been Bronze 8 right now, and where he would learn what does 4v5 and trolls mean.
I feel offended, that some people who can't see the forest from the tree, questions my and many other fellow players journey from the depths of bronze to gold/plat/diamond, when it was MUCH harder for us, especially if we wanted to maintain it. Gotta love losing 150 elo a day, dropping back a whole tier and some more. Maybe the reason we are much higher now is that we didn't whine like newborn piggies, and tried hard to GET BETTER. We didn't open threads about elo hell, and 1v9-s, but tried different roles, different champions, different playstyles, different mindsets, we watched streams, we all had our favourite pro players we got inspiration from, we read BETTER PLAYERS' suggestions, and so on. The OP has the same energy we had, but he chose to invest it in making up with the dumbest theories, just so he can justifiy his current position. I didn't like those times when I was terrible either - still far from perfect -, but trying and wanting to get better did wonders.
Don't worry, there were people like him in the old system as well, so it's nothing new, but there's a reason why all of them are in bronze/low silver. You don't really hear a Gold player saying he's Diamond quality, but you can bet that every 3rd bronze player is actually a korean pro-player. I guess that's why it's so hard to get out of there - the competition is just too fierce!
