"2. WTH has champion roles to do with this? Queue was supposted to be for "lanes" and not for chars... (jungle, solo, mid, duo, support - those were here always regardless of champs played at those lanes)"

Duo hasn't always been here. Taric or alistar were good at roaming once apon a time.

Roaming meta was pretty much instantly nerfed so riot is more or less encouraging the current meta regardless if some people want to believe it or not.

A few tips from the back of my head

    * Learn to not be agitated by team mates. Mute toxic players, don't respond to critisiscm, don't critisize others.

    * Admit to yourself that you're making mistakes. Your team may be bad but you are certainly also. Only by admitting that can you see your own flaws and correct them.

    * Don't adapt the scrub mentality (omg I will AFK farm for 20minutes / Support doesn't ward so I won't either / you did not help me leash so i wont gank your lane et.c. et.c.). Always take the course of action that may help you win. If that means you have to buy wards as an ADC or w/e, do it.

    * Be flexible at champion select. Play your best champions but accept that if you're 5th pick you will likely have to play support. Learn to be a good support then.

    * Play as few champions as possible. It's better than being mediocre at everything. Don't counter-pick if you have no experience with said champions. It's better to counter-pick yourself if you know the matchup well and if you're good with said champion.

    * Realize that you can't carry all games. You can't always win. And you don't need to. Win about 55-60% of your games and you will increase your ranking over time. Assuming you always do your best, there's a higher probability that feeders, leavers and AFKers are on the opponent's team.

    * Finally, if you're mid, ward the opponent's wraiths at 1.30, if you're support, ward the river / entrance from their jungle outside mid lane at 1.30. This wins games at every level.

Mathematics says that you are wrong.

Worse performing players will lose more games and have their MMR fall.  If Diamond-MMR players were playing worse than Platinum-MMR players they would switch places over time.

If you read anything at all, you'd see the part about diamond's having the "fuck you, I already got diamond" attitude.  they get to diamond and don't care, because they cant drop below diamond.

Which still is irrelevant because you are not matched up with players of your league, you are matched with players of your MMR.

it's completely relevant.  They're already diamond, you CAN NOT drop below Diamond once you're there.  They couldn't care less because they will get every and all bonuses for being Diamond at the end of Season 3, whether it be icons, skins, etc..  It's completely relevant, just open your eyes to any other viewpoint other than your own.

What people in general fail to realize is that if someone decides, upon reaching D5 , that "k gonna troll my team for the lulz, YOLO", he will not lose his badge at the end of the season, but he will lose ELO a.k.a. MMR which makes it so that players who are ACTUALLY diamond will not play against him. For example:

Troll A reaches D5, decides to troll, becomes a detriment to his team, loses MMR and now has a value of that of a P5-3 player.

Serious player B reaches D5 and still plays to the best of his abilities, his rank may or may not increase, he maintains a solid 50-55% win ratio so his MMR value is that of D5-D4 elo.

These two players will be equally listed but not matched against each other unless there are other variables at play.

Aside from that I'm  just going to go out and say that IN MY EXPERIENCE there is no excessive trolling in diamond league (EU server) compared to lower leagues. Is there an occassional "troll" or two? Well, yes, but that'd also depend on how you define "troll" to begin with.  I also don't know if it's purely anecdotal (i.e. I've been lucky) or if there's a different mentality on EU compared to US.

  • posted a message on heigthening the amount of champion bans in champ select

From a competetive-spectative viewpoint, I really dislike the fact that bans are usually targeted.

So, Froggen has the best anivia in the world? Let's never see it. Ever. It's silly and doesn't make much sense.

A few amount of bans is good in solo queue because it lets the players self-regulate percieved OP champs (which in low elo is strictly amumu, malphite and shen). But how many bans do we really NEED? Why do we need to ban out ALL OP champs (who are they btw)? As soon as something is considered OP it goes on a perm-ban status and no counter-play is ever going to be found.

How about players start adapting a new mentality to just "deal with it " and "learn to play".

If anything, I'd like to see less bans.

  • posted a message on Why Riot Should Enforce the Meta

With the inclussion of items intended for very specific roles and purposes (jungling & support items) and the tweaking of ADC-specific items, I feel that Riot is pushing towards balance within what has commonly been interpreted as "the meta" for almost 2 years now: solo top, solo mid, jungler, ADC+Support.

Taking it a step further and enforcing the meta through means of a dungeon finder (for solo queue, and solo queue only), there are so many problems that'd be dealt with, with one swift stroke.

You know those situations when you enter a ranked game and three people instantly calls the same role, only to end up trolling the team hoping for someone else to queue dodge? Problem solved

Or when someone simply doesn't play at the same level anyone else is in a role they are "showed" into? Problem solved.

It would also mean people could enter ranked easier with only a limited number runes, champions and rune pages, while still being able to compete just as well as anyone else. The game needs to be more accessible to new players, not less.

  • posted a message on Rumble tier1 ? i dont get it

Rumble is definitely a strong pick and can be played top, mid or even jungle. He's been held back by a plethora of bad matchups, especially the 4 "gods" of top lane (jax, jayce, darius and to a lesser extent irelia). However due to the meta changes (where said champions isn't 'as' viable) and with the inclusion of new items (specifically liandry's and seeker's armguard), he's way better in S3. His early laning phase, however, is as shitty as it always was.

On a further note, Rumble was first pick, first ban in several of the korean qualifiers last night.

  • posted a message on @REDS, RIOT constantly nerfing the wrong aspect of champs...

What they should have done, IMO, is to make it so that you can't pull someone through walls (like Thresh). It would also remedy the golem steal at lvl 1 which is just so frustrating to deal with.
