You sure? That's not the result I was getting from my tests, everything worked out exactly as expected re : my post on Liandry's.

Unsurprising, as it's intended to be a proc from spell damage, not item damage.

That's not the issue, really. The issue is that Swain needs defences, and Liandry's simply doesn't give enough of them. Realistically, it's not a bad item in terms of damage since you're spreading it over the entire team in teamfights; it's simply the fact that Swain attains his power by being unkillable, not by being bursty. The only pure damage item Swain should ever consider is deathcap, and even that is your 4th or 5th item.

I made sure to test it like this:

Tides of Blood, wait 2 seconds, transfusion. However, the icon symbolizing the DoT disappeared within less than a second after transfusion. I didn't pay attention to the floating combat text, however, so either it does not get reapplied or it's merely a visual bug.

Also, on #2 I just wanted to restate that what OP wrote was incorrect.

I was just commenting on how the procs would work on Swain. I agree that the item is not good on Swain.

I just tested around a bit with Liandry's. There are a couple of let-downs I discovered.

    1. New spell casts do not refresh the DoT. Therefore, if you spam a second ability before your first ability's Liandry's DoT is fully depleted, you won't get that second DoT even if there was only 0.5 seconds left on the first DoT. This part is just theory since I didn't feel like testing this, but I believe if you cast Vladimir's e first and then his q in quick succession, you'll be doing the following in damage:

Tides of Blood damage + 2.5% current hp (5% if slowed) + Transfusion damage

Transfusion + 5% current hp (10% if slowed) + Tides of Blood damage

Sadly, if you throw out your ulti and immediately cast transfusion and tides of blood, you'll only get a single, half-damage proc off Liandry's.

    2. Neither Spellsword nor Malady procced Liandry's.

How would Liandry's work on Swain? I feel like his e poke may make it a ridiculous item on him.

2.5% of their current hp is added in damage if you have Liandry's and cast your e on someone. However, if you q + e then the damage increases to 5%, but you'll only get a single proc from 2 spells.
