I believe you can get texture packs that could decrease the graphics requirements for LoL, I know they exist in other gamesPosted in: New Players

Don't worry - a lot of sports do have qualification systems. That doesn't stop people who aren't qualified for demanding expensive lessons because of their success as a competitor.Posted in: General Discussions
Certifications are a good start, but in the case of league its something that would be quite difficult to do (especially since its a global community, and most people who are looking for coaches are just searching the internets)

It stacks I believe - you get up to 4 of them (but derp - does that mean you only get 1 every 30 seconds?)Posted in: Champions and Gameplay
I think I misread and thought you got 4 charges every 30 seconds (which is very much not the case). Its 1 per wave. Lvl 1 CD on Q is 8 seconds I believe - so I was thinking BAD MATH (oops)
It wouldn't be anywhere near as strong as nasus top or jungle, but I was thinking he'd be an interesting niche support if you don't think your team could deal with a vayne. Even a relatively low stacked Q would give him more damage than most supports. I'm not saying NEW META, but just an interesting potential interaction

We all know that doge OP - I'm wondering what the interaction with the new support item set (Relic Shield/Targon's Brace/Face of the Mountain) is with his Q. If that worked to stack his q, then I'm after thinking that nasus (max W, then Q) support could be quite scary vs. no escape ADC/Vayne.Posted in: Champions and Gameplay
The new passive is:
Allows for very early (and similar CD to Q) stacking.UNIQUE Passive - Spoils of War: Basic attacks execute minions below 200 Health. Killing a minion heals the nearest allied champion for 2% of your maximum Health and grants them the bounty plus 10 Gold
- These effects require a nearby allied champion. Recharges every 30 seconds. Max 4 charges.

So much this. So much (its been a while since I worked with theater), but the people who do stuff for free that I've met in music and special events generally are not professionals in the industry. They're people who do it as a side job, maybe get a little money on the side from it. Taking low-pay gigs, yes, free no.[header=4]Quote from Gonzodamus »[/header]
There are very specific minimum salaries for actors based on the size of the house and various other factors. Being a working actor doesn't mean that you're Tom Cruise, but it does mean that you get paid for the work you do. I also think you're assuming I'm a college student or somesuch, which is a strange assumption to make.

As someone who has worked as a semi-pro musician, and someone who has more friends than he likes to think about who are professional musicians, the buck stops herePosted in: General Discussions
Passion is important, but as someone said, you gotta pay the bills. Coaching for free for fun - that's totally fine, and it makes sense. Give advice to people/friends/new friends you play with all the time? Great! Give back to the community.
But the fact of the matter is, if you have that kind of time, you probably don't need the $15/hour. Some of us do.
Many people are doing it to make a quick couple of dollars (euros), but hey you know - if they're helping someone improve, why should you complain?
