Basic Reading

Item that grants AD with a % or flat Magic Pen. It will be a nice little item for champions that scale off of AD but deal Magic Damage. I would want it on Shyvana, Udyr, Volibear, Warwick, Mundo, Yorick, Jax, etc.

Detailed Reading

Some of Magic Damage are like "Ignorable" because you need AD to scale your champion, like Shyvana, Warwick, Udyr, Tristana, Teemo! Countering MR with Magic Pen is very useful... Against squishes or maybe MR Runes... Well it changes the % of the damage dealt, so basically you could double that damage... Not necessarily needs to build your champion with AP, but making your Magic Damage good by scaling them with AD, like Udyr for example, he scales pretty well with with AD or Shyvana, but they do Magic Damage after all.

There is Magic Pen Boots, works for some champions, like Udyr, Mundo, NOT RECOMMENDED indeed, but none said it is worthless, actually it has a good use... Well late game itens that makes your AD champion better and still able to do Magic Damage not being fully ignored by many champions that builds MR or uses MR Runes as well.

Last but not least..!

SPELLVAMP with AD!! The AD 'Casters', Talon for example, he can't make spellvamp, because all itens are AP based, if you need only AD for your Champion you can't buy spellvamp because would be waste of Gold and completely worthless,

"Spellvamp is stealing HP with abilities". So yea, basically some champions could make sustain in lanes without only auto attacks near the tower, losing many minions and forced to get back to base because HP is too low and better not risk on dying. In teamfights you can burst down someone without being bursted down so fast, and the pokes! of course.
