I once got a wise advice in a forum post here. It said always get 2 wards if you can afford them. Lets say you are winning lane/game. Get 2 wards. More wards is too much (unless you are support). Just 1 ward is not enough for an objective. Doing the supports job (90% of the time you will get a non support main) sometimes pays off.
Sure, 90% of the time you will see Saint play jungle, or chaox play adc. But i have seen saint play adc at least twice, and chaox in the jungle once. And voyboy in midlane. They are just pros at that role, but are very capable of doing other things
Well, after a while I kinda realized that playing too many games after loosing led me to this. That, and I really havent thought about it but my ping had rose about 50-70 ms (from 170-180 to 230-250). This might have reduced a bit my reaction times and skillshots, Now it seems normal and im winning quite a bit more. Maybe it was actually my fault after all.
Thanks for the post, glad to see alternate made it to the EU LCS
Shaco, although complex, needs nowhere the amount of micromanaging the execute the so called 3 Q combo for rengar, for example. And rengar is not tanky unless he is built tanky, and he is not an assassin unless he is built assassin. He is a tanky bruiser that excels at splitpushing. And old rengar is gone, but I like him the way he is now. He is balanced, but he is really cheesy, just that.
There is an abuse of the word TOXIC. Rengar may be what you call toxic, but I dont see the reason for not being able to have cheesy Hit-or-Miss champions.
First off, unlike shaco or ap yi or ap tryndamere , rengar needs knowledge about his unique role, practice and being good at micromanaging ferocity. AP trynd has to build AP and CDR, slash and heal. No skill involved.
Rengar gets to harass with E, but he is vulnerable to a hard engage because of its range (jax Q+E, irelia Q+E, Jayce combo, Riven combo, etc) He either needs to have ferocity to stop that kind of engages with ferocious E, or stay back.
Then, his W gives free sustain. Alright, but it scales off NOTHING. Later in the game, Rengar heals for a lot more just by having some lifesteal. And a lot of champions have free steroids/heals.
R: no counterplay. Sure, you cant buy a pink ward, or stick to the teammates that have oracles. He cant really burst you anyways, unless he is really fed, so why do you bother?
And again, many champions have no available counterplay. A flash W maokai has no counterplay, and its not considered toxic. Same with a full combo Zed (actually yes, getting a GA). How do you counterplay a Jayce in lane? Or Elise? Are those two champions really less annoying than rengar? Poke from farther away, no counterplay poke, and built in sustain for mana and HP respectively. And there is no counterplay when Elise wants to E to you, or when jayce wants to blast your ass being a melee champion. Even Darius, he bullies many lanes, simply because melee champions CANT KITE. Darius counterplay is pick a counter, or get jungle help.
I always found ADC the most boring, repetitive role in the game. The only ADC worth playing IMO is Ezreal, since hitting Qs is essential, unlike others that need to right click and use ONE move per teamfight. Id rather support than ADC, but when your adc gets grabbed, knocked up or any other form of hard cc and blames you for not warding every single grab spot (he cant obviously predict an incoming grab from 2nd brush when he is farming in front of his minions) it kinda makes me want to give a thesis on how to correctly play bot lane(except last hitting, I suck at it without abilities). Anyways, when I am playing thresh I can carry a braindead ADC, simply because thresh kit makes it easy to adjust according to the adc's aggresiveness. You can poke, hard engage or peel, not the best at any of them, but does the job.
Never understood why playing support and also jungle is so underrated. YOU dictate the game for 20 minutes, YOU make plays, YOU tell your lanes what to do. And later on you decide wether your carries are able to do their job or not. Ever tried to kill a tristana when a good alistar is peeling for her? If you EVER manage to get to her, alistar will ruin your day
Well, you didnt read properly. Im stating that I was climbing steadily for a long time, got to gold tier, climbed a bit more and in just 2 weeks I managed to get terribly bad again? And I dont consider myself any better than bottom Gold tier, I think that is my limit for now. I played against a Platinum player last week that even though I won lane simply because I picked a straight counter he carried way harder than me. Note im not complaining about tiers or even divisions, its just about how frustrating ranked play has become. I got to gold tier, my objective was accomplished, but I am simply having less fun because of it.
I will take the advice on playing normal draft, totally forgot about that mode. And maybe I also get mad and play 7 games in a row, just to lose them. Maybe Im playing well but at the same time being toxic without noticing. 90% of my anger comes from frustration, not shiny numbers, so I guess normal draft might help to solve that issue (the other 10% is when I am playing support/adc and enemy team has a caitlyn). Still, not the same as ranked play :/
The problem for EG is that their players' are oriented towards lategame fights, and this meta decides game before 30 minutes. I think they have been lately improving this aspect, but they are nowhere near a top 3. I think if they step up their play they might achieve a 4th place. Either way, we all love to watch froggen play anivia or lux, and Wickd play Irelia.
And CW have a ridiculously high potential. I know Bjergsen can single handedly carry their team. Same for any of Alternate's players. They just need a bit more of coordination and they can make it to a 3rd or even 2nd place.
Gambit and Fnatic will remain 1st and 2nd, maybe one of them will fall up to 3rd place, but thats it.
MYM always seemed a weak team to me, so i predict 7th or 8th place for them. Not sure about Sinners Never Sleep. They are kinda unknown to me.
