Once you win 10 games whatever icon you had during those ten games will be unlocked without the Gold ring in the corner. Look in your icon page for your icon, it'll be without the gold ring in the corner.

This may have been said by someone already, but he looks like the prime example of where Riot wants to take the melee carries. He's a duelist top, yet unlike fiora or yi provides CC and is able to use abilities to quickly engage the enemy carry. I would not be surprised if other top melee carries were eventually mirrored after this guy

  • posted a message on Thoughts on Quinn Top?

I think she can be pretty good in the right situations like everyone else said. Against a fighter like fiora or that hulking barbarian she should be able to dominate by poking them to death throwing a blind and if they get to close just vault your way to a kill. Against sustain tops though like yorick or cho i think its a bad matchup for her. I fought a quinn top and i was cho gath and I was 2-0 and was much more farmed than she was. She didn't feed cause she could turn into a bird and fly away but I pretty much had my way with that lane

  • posted a message on Jungle Items on Supports?

You know this is interesting, a lot of items I get for jungle i also get for support like Locket, or phil stone (for moakai for example), a sightstone, balwark. The builds are not that different. I'm already building sort of low budgets on them so yea I think your on to something. However, do I think Ancient Golem is good on a support? I dont think so, Phil stone covers your need for mana and health regen, and you dont get good use out of the increased damage to minions. Just my opinion though!

I think the fact that he is the only GP in plat sort of says in what state GP is in right now. He doesnt seem to be picked in any tier and his win rates are all below 50% according to lolking. Dont get me wrong hes really fun to play however you play him it's just hes not very competitive in S3.

  • posted a message on Dissecting the Drama: Why the Saint and Elementz "Fight" can be a Good Thing for Curse

The issue I see here is that Saint, the leader of the team, took to bashing his team mates publicly. I am a big football fan, but you never see leaders like Drew Brees, or Ray Lewis, or Manning, or whoever singling out a player in public. Whenever they lose they keep it in a team complex. "We need to do better", "As a team we need to improve." It is never, "Man that Thomas guy needs to learn to catch he single handedly cost us that game" -Manning, "Yea, he does suck doesn't he" -Brady. If DOublelift was talking about Curse Saint should've risen up defended his team. Poor leader.

  • posted a message on Bad players that don't admit they are.

My friend is the same way, he does not sound as bad but well he could use some improvement (couldnt we all though). There's two things i'd recommend with trying to make him better:

    1) Have your profile buy a fake mustache, then when he invites you to play he will either see the mustache and think "That cant be my friend" or simply tell him you have a mustache and that you dont know who he is talking about.

    2) My friend is pretty stubborn too. Whenever he makes a mistake he blames it on everything but himself which is aggrevating because admitting your mistakes thinking about them is what makes you better. Im gonna wager tho that your friend, like mine, knows he is actually bad just doesnt want to admit it because of ego, or been playing a long time whatever. I found that how I phrase things really helps. Like taking dragon, you can say "Hey buddy I need your help to take dragon." With rune pages and stuff, ask him why he has taken those runes, and fully hear him out, say that you understand what he is trying to do but that maybe trying X would be better and then explain why. Try not using words like bad or awful or noob or whatever, Same with items. An example would be, "Hey, No (my friend), that blade of the ruined king is great (even though it may not be), but Black Cleaver would help you deal a ton of damage, gain tankiness, and reduce that killer ult time!" This way his ego is partially left intact, he hopefully feels like you arent attacking him and genuinely trying to help, and that you respect his ideas...no matter how bad they may be. Anyways hope this helps! (or you could just grow the mustache)
