Depends on how you look at it... its actually linear in effectiveness, hence it does not have diminishing returns.... just think about it... it would be increasing returns if you had 50% tenacety and added another 50% tenacety too get 100%.... because the second 50% is infenitly much better than the first 50%....... Instead you will get 75% by adding 50% to 50%..... where the first 50% is a 50% increased effectiveness..... and the second 25% is also a 50% increased effectiveness...... TBH,.,.,, you are walking in the same trap as those who think armor/mr have diminishing returns

Nunu+cait usually still wins ez+sona because of higher range, mobility and attackspeed (bloodboil OP ^^), but yea.. its a valid choice..

Indeed.. I really don't get why Riot Games don't have an official page about how elo and elo-transitioning is computed... No matter how advanced the computations are there are always people who understands them an can get something out of the data..
I can see from a business standpoint you wold like too keep it a secret, but from a sport standpoint this is bad :(

To be honest that is the hardest lane too play against when it comes to zoning and harass, and there is nothing too do about it (And I am 1900 elo adc, so its not empty words)... It all boils down to how well you position your lane and avoid harass. Here are two tips though:
1. If played well you can kill this lane, since just about any adc deals more damage in an all-in fight than caitlyn (even with bloodboil).
2. Here is a tip that will most likely work every time (unfortunately it is a double edged sword):
- Play Graves/Sivir + a "bursty" support (favorite is Taric, but Blitz, Alistar, Leona, Zyra and Sona work)
- While laning always keep the lane pushed into or almost into enemy tower:
-----> You can do this since Graves and Sivir pushes better than Cait, hence you should control the lane placement.
-----> When so close to tower Caitlyn will have too use more time too aa creeps, either too avoid them going into tower range or lasthit under tower, reducing the amount of harass from her by a lot.
----> When you push your lane this much you are very vulnerable to ganks from mid and jungle, making it a double edged sword and requiering good map awareness/warding.... DONT EVER DO THIS AGAINST PANTHEON OR TF MID

Well for kids this is probably a better system... since it is educational, but honestly winning and loosing is all that should be counting.... because it makes everything viable as long as you achieve the win...

All this article proves is that ranked soloqueue is quite luck based
Yes, it does.. and that is exactly what he is trying to prove.... that there is in fact a significant probability that someone can be 300 elo above/below his true elo for a few number of games, but that within a triple digit number of games should fall back to true elo +/- 200..

Isn't one of the writers in "A different view" a math major?? I am a math major and using markov chains/stochastic processes you could simulate some real continuous calculations to get a good estimate of how fast you should be within 100 elo of "true elo". I might do it some day, but its quite time consuming work...

Y.. warwick is a bit better, just because junglers gank less pre 6 now..... but not running mashete on him gives him a waaaay to slow clear.... + the jungle scaling forces him to build even more damage early, where Blade of the ruined king actully is perfect for him (since wits end is nerfed)...
You can see on League of stats that WW win ratios have gone up from 49% to aroound 53% after the patch....
WW might see a return... but probobly not top tier
