That's a totally stupid concept if you ask me, i've won games with the weirdest comps, hell i had a guy carry a game with Soraka jungle, if you have the "we can't win with this comp" attitude you shouldn't be playing ranked at all, also the more things you try/test/see, the more you know about the game and you can build up on that knowledge.
The idea behind the dodging tactic isn't that you can win with weird comps, but rather that you play the games where you have the best chances at winning. If you take all the games of soraka jungle and analyze them, i'm sure you'd find that the win rate of teams with soraka jungle is significantly lower than those of a more standard jungler. Just because it works once or twice (got carried by an ahri adc in season 2 and I carried as teemo jungle in a game once) doesn't mean that it's effective.
Again, it's not a "we can't win with this comp" attitude, it's a, "I have a better chance at winning with a more normal comp where I'm playing a role i'm more familiar with" attitude.
Not that I support dodging xD I haven't dodged for a long time.
I highly discourage any posts that might encourage people to dodge. The game starts at champion select, and I believe penalties for dodging are not strict enough. Don't ruin the game for other people by wasting time (as well as increasing the likelihood of targeted bans.
It's really not a huge waste of time. The other players lose at most 2-5 minutes (depending on how far in champ select you are) and will probably get matched up again within 1-3 minutes. It gets kinda annoying when it's repetitive but it's really not that bad. Regarding targeted bans, if you're really afraid of that as someone who's teammate dodged, then you can just jump out of queue for like 30 seconds and you'll probably end up with different people.
Another great example of a "one trick pony" would be Annie Bot. He reached challenger last season after playing over 2000 games as Annie. If you look at his stats, his skill level with other champions is noticeably weaker but his annie play is phenomenal.
