Don't pick Vayne, just never. Low-mid elo knows that she's most scary ADC, one of the easiest champs to get penta and the one who can carry alone. BUT! She is high skill champion and requires: great positioning, being able to survive early game, gold (farming skills/few kills), sick kiting mechanics, brain and team for you to peel if you're focused. 90% times those bronze guys don't have any of the following abilities. Never pick her unless you're confident of your skill - hit plat and you can start think about her. Otherwise - NO!

Doesn't Varus require more peeling than Vayne? I mean, Vayne has more mobility, a knockback, and she can normally kill the person diving her if its a bruiser. And since Varus doesn't have any escapes, wouldn't he require better positioning?

What about Vayne? She can single handedly carry games, and doesn't need as much protection as Varus, but he has better teamfights and poke. Right now I'm debating between getting Vayne or Varus, I still haven't decided yet. Since they're both equally fun (I've tried them on free week, I liked both equally), which one is better to carry in solo Q?

Well, what I meant was that she's really really easy to pick up, if somebody doesn't support much, they would probably learn to play either Sona or Taric because although both are hard to master, both are really easy to learn. If said person plays tanks/bruisers a lot, they'll probably go for Taric, if this guy plays ADC or squishy mages a lot, they'll go for Sona. So pretty much half the population who doesn't normally support will have Sona as their go to support.

Of course, this doesn't mean that Sona=half of all supports, since there's people who main support and play other support champs, and people who don't go for Sona as their go to support, but she'll still be really popular no matter what imo, because of above reasons.

Hybrid Pens are probably the best marks for a standard support page, since most supports harass using AAs and spells. But marks are the hardest to get for supports, since marks are best for offense, and supports barely do any damage outside of lane harass.

Sona will always be popular because she's the one support that's amazingly easy to pick up (you don't have to target anything other than ult, no advanced mechanics, etc), so people who don't support that much will probably only play Sona or Taric.

Who was the last champ? You only mentioned 4.

Based off of these 4 though, you have no initiator, so no aoe teamfights for you because they can just fall back, or keep on poking because you have no way to force a fight. Also, no tank, but the Galio+Sona peel should be good enough for a while. During long fights though, without a tank with constant cc, MF is gonna die fast.

And Voli vs Galio... I believe Voli should stomp him pretty hard, because Voli top is all about all-ins, and Galio is just constant poke and push in lane, the only thing Galio has got against Voli is his Bulwark which Voli can just wait out.

What ADC did you play mostly? Right now my main ADC's are Ezreal and Graves, but I need to expand my roster, hopefully to include an ADC from every single niche (ex. right now I only have poke and burst). I also have Draven and Corki, but I don't play them as much. What do you recommend buying next? Varus seems fun and pretty good, and that RobertxLee video up there is epic, but Varus seems not that good for solo Q because he doesn't have an escape and needs some peel, but I could be wrong. Other popular picks right now are Vayne, MF, and Cait, and I'm not really sure who to get :/

    Everybody hates Fiora :(

Imo she's probably the most viable true melee adc, the other pure melee adc's are Yi and Trynd. Honestly, if you main Fiora, play her as you normally do. Like somebody up there said, Fiora's win rate is better than most of the "viable" champs because people who play Fiora a lot know what they're doing, while people playing Volibear just do it for the OPness.

She can do decently vs mids without a disengage, and without much waveclear. In other words she's a really niche pick. Perhaps vs Fizz, since she can avoid the damage from his ult, and if Fizz jumps at Fiora he's in for a whole lot of pain.

Maybe have more ranged abilities other than just a ranged gapcloser? E.g Nocturne has a gap closer and a ranged Q, while W makes it hard to kill him/lock him down, and E adds cc. I keep on mentioning Noct in these articles about melee champs because I think he's the best (and maybe even only) example of a melee autoattacker that works.

I think it's Noct's ability to stick to a target that lets him be strong. The ms boost from Q and fear from E makes him able to stick onto anybody in a gank. Compare that to Trynd, Fiora, Jax.... all they have is a gapcloser (maybe 2), once that's done, they can't do much. Noct has his ult for gapcloser, low cd Q to stick on to people, W so he can't be cc'ed as easily (screw Nunu's snowballs), and E to disable people even more so he can shred them apart even more.

How come nobody's mentioned Cho'gath yet.... he's a really good pick for mid and jungle, can roam/gank well, really good sustain, and really good if your jungler, top, and support are all squishy, so you have to pick a tanky mid. Pick Cho and become an immovable rock in lane. Only problem is that he oom's really easily in lane, but a RoA will solve that.
