I was in the EXACT same position as you and the only answer is to play carry champs. Instead of jungling things like Mao, Rammus, etc, I started exclusively playing Hecarim, Kha, Noct, etc. The problem with the former is that they rely on your teammates being able to capitalize on an advantage, which is a risk for you, so don't do it. Just get yourself fed and carry your way up.
On a side note, losing two games is hardly worth giving up the game. An 80% win rate will move your elo up very quickly.

That sounds fine. One thing to consider is which junglers you want to use. If you want more DPS oriented, then go for AD or Arp marks/quints. If support types, then what you have is great for them.

In general, I like the idea of divisions and leagues, but there shouldn't be some lame promotion series. From the outset, it's a dumb idea. They wanted to make it feel like a tournament, but it never will since you aren't playing with the same players, against the same team. Instead, they are just weighting certain games higher than others with no regards to the consequences (ie. trolls).
The promotion series just gave trolls more power in champion select. You can't dodge, because it counts as a loss, but you're going to lose since they are a troll and have no interest in the team doing well. In this case, instead of being asked to win 2/3, you are being asked to win 2/2 because you've just been handed a game that you can not win.

I've noticed that several guides have advocated jungling fiddle with machete first. The thing is, you aren't really crazy about what machete builds into. What do you guys think about starting Amplyfing Tome first as it builds into several good items (lucky pick, haunting guise, etc), plus it enhances the amount of health/damage from drain? Another possibility might be Doran's Ring. It doesn't build into anything, but is a powerful item during the early/mid game for it's AP and mana regen.
Thoughts?

posted a message on ELO Hell - Important for those stuck there!Posted in: Competitive Play
I've gained A TON of ELO in the last couple of weeks (~250) and it has been entirely from watching IWDominate level a new account. For those unaware, he was banned for toxic behavior and is now leveling a new account per the blessing of Riot. His first few casts, he is starting around 1400 ELO and manages to climb to over 2000 within a week. I learned so much from watching him almost single handedly carry games by jungling (and sometimes laning). I believe anyone stuck in their own ELO Hell can learn a lot by listening to his commentary as he progresses up through the ranks. By the way, I don't think he's just useful to junglers. He talks a lot about lanes and lane control, so even those who main a lane can learn a lot from him.

Are there any suggestions u can give me on some SOLO Q champs that completley stomp this 1k elo and can carry my team . Or are my champs fine and i need to just keep playing and wait it out until i get better team mates.
I was stuck at ~1100 (high 1300s w/ 70% win rate and still climbing) for a while until I started just worrying about my own play and helping others out. I used to rage a ton, but now I just accept the mistakes of my team and do my best to get them back in the game. The best piece of advice of I can give is to use the nicest words possible when talking to your teammates and accept that you are going to get some troll/dc games every now and then. Additionally, if you main a lane (I jungler), then make sure you are pushing your lane as far as possible and then roaming to gank others. Just don't forget to get your own tower at some point.
As far as champions go, I find that anything that does a lot of DPS or has great CC to be great options. For me, in the jungle, Cho'Gath and Skarner are my go-to champ of choice. Both are pretty tanky after one or two items, so I'll go full damage after getting some defense. This allows me to carry my team most of the time, even when I have one or two really bad players on the team.
I noticed from your LoLKing profile that you like to play a lot of champs. While fun, I would suggest picking 3-4 and really focusing on learning them through and through. Since concentrating on a few specific junglers, my ability to gank, land skill shots and itemize for different teams has gone through the roof and I attribute a lot of my success to this alone.

Why exactly is Skarner still Tier 1? While still potent, Tier 2 is definitely where he belongs. The nerf to his shield and ult really put him in a bind. Now, when he initiates, it's either incredibly awesome or a total fail, given that it's over if the enemy has flash up.

As far as roles go:
Cho'Gath: Jungle/Top/Mid
Lee Sin: Jungle/Top
Nunu: Support/Jungle
Jax: Jungle/Top
Alistar: Support/Jungle
Not only can these champs be player in multiple roles, but they are exceptional at both, which is why I mentioned them.
