How is health more effective if he gains an extra percentage on his resistances? More resistances means more extra resistances from that passive.

It's about getting the most effective health with the least gold. Since you get free resistances, you can increase your tankiness in a "cheaper" way by building health first.

In a way, yes. But this is how I see it: Consider that health would have the same cost as resistance per effective health. Then buying resistance would give you more effective health since you gain an extra percentage of it for free. However, health is cheaper than resistance at the moment. So health might be more cost effective on Garen because it is so cheap, and not because of his passive (which gives more cost-effectiveness to resistances).

Anyhow, I like building him with items that give both health and resistances (Sunfire, Randuin's, Spirit Visage, ..), since they are just very strong items. And of course Warmogs, which is very strong and cheap atm.

Ok I tried connecting it to the modem with a cable and it worked fine then. Narrowed it down to either my laptop receiver or the modem sender.

    Thanks for the advice :)

Well forgot to mention that I already did a full repair of LoL the first time i encountered the problem. It did not help.

Video settings are not particulary high and I've been running LoL at around 60 fps without any stutters ever for like a year on this laptop.

I was thinking maybe it's the wireless receiver in my laptop that's causing the issues. I don't have a cable nearby to test it directly connected to the modem but I will try that soon.

    Hi there

I posted this on the official forums and no response yet, so I thought I'd ask here as well.

A while ago I was having strange lag issues on League of Legends (and Skype). LoL always ran great on my laptop and my ping is constantly showing below 50. However, the game acts like it has huge lagspikes all of a sudden. Once every half a minute or so it lags up for about a second and then it proceeds going smoothly. This has the appearance of normal latency lag, and not fps stutter.

Skype has this problem too. The audio gets choppy for about a second but otherwise it works perfectly.

This issue suddenly stopped. But now, about a week or two later, it has returned in all its glory. I tried playing other games and they work perfectly (all offline games though). Also playing music or movies is not choppy at all. Which makes me believe there is some kind of internet issue. However, as stated my ping is not showing to be low at all.

Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this or how to fix this?

    Thanks
