The one that you play over 100 games with and can play with a blindfold on. That's the top laner that will win you games

  • posted a message on Your rank isn't a reflection of your skill.

This statement is way too general. The truth of the matter is that your rank can both be a good indication of your skill as well as a bad one. The key to any accurate statistical measure is the sample size. So in other words, if you are Bronze 3 after 10 games, then it might be safe to assume that you haven't reached your true ranking yet, as there is a significantly increased probability that within those 10 games you lost because of a troll or leaver. That being said, if you have played around 300-400 ranked games but you have only reached Bronze 1, it might be pretty safe to say that you have peaked around your true skill range, as the probability of losing due to factors beyond your control drops drastically the more games you play.

And that is all from your point of view, that doesn't even take into account the fact that the other team is even MORE likely than your team to have a leaver or troll. So basically the more you play, the odds will be increasingly in your favor. And assuming you are actually as good as you claim, you will see results. The key to ranking up in league is diligence( Hence why most high ranked players have been playing since beta and have thousands of games under their belt)

And Einstein forgot where he lived from time to time...My point is that regardless of their punctuality they are still good players

I agree with your assessment of NA...A team with nothing to lose and everything to prove is a dangerous team.

  • posted a message on Champions with no hard counter

Hard counters don't exist, except maybe in the minds of those who convince themselves that they do. Are there certain champions who match up extremely well against others? Absolutely. However,  saying that X champion will always beat Y champion is just a way of taking power away from yourself as a player. If I tell myself that I will always be beat by Fizz if I am playing TF solely on the basis of the champion matchup, then I am basically telling myself that no amount of skill can surmount the challenge of playing against a Fizz. The result is that you end up playing  crappy and falling into the trap of playing into the opponents hands out of a sense of hopelessness.

Bought him in the end. He doesn't seems so bad and I love The Scorched earth Skin (to buy in a distant future when I'll play him properly)!

    P.S. Max W or E second?

Max W second. At level 5 his w is on a lower CD than his q( 4 secs at lvl5 vs 20 CD at lvl1), which means he can pretty much  poke from max range at all times, whittle people down, and then finish them off with his ult( don't forget about the 40% spell pen!). A lot of people will tell you to max e because it gives him more up front burst. However, if you max E second then you are forfeiting your ability to permanently strike from long range until you reach level 18.  Xeraths range is his distinguishing strength, you should exploit it as much as possible, and maxing E second doesn't do that

Xerath doesn't have that much longer range than Lux and his ult is something like half her's, and he takes some time to get rooted, time that the opponent can just use to get closer to you and then you'll probably need to unroot and run because if you take the time to finish casting they'll get you. Lux doesn't have this problem, and she has her OP shield to boot, and her snare and everything she has that makes her such a bitch. Neither of them have good wave clears without their ults, however lux has her AA passive to help and she's not completely gold dependant anyway like Xerath is.

Xerath's stun max range is 1000 according to lolwiki. That's one of his problems when trying to blow up an AD carry - you can't stun them and if they have any mobility skills or say level 2 boots they can dodge everything you have.

xeraths ult actually does a lot more damage though. At level 3 his ult has a base damage of 825+1.8 ap ratio, lux only does 670+.75 of her ap, and that inlcudes her passive proc( without its only 500+.75). He would be completely broken if he had lux's range with that kind of damage output.  You also have to take into account xeraths free 40% spell pen. Lastly, 1000 range in locus form is still a hell of a long way when you consider that the average ADC only has an AA range of around 550, and that his stun proc is a targeted ability which isn't subject to being blocked like a skillshot.

Definitely a shotcaller/playmaker/coach type. I am always telling people why they should do something or not do something, and mapping out teamfight priorities( contrary to popular belief, the ad carry is not always the first priority). If I can get Hecarim I usually fall into the steamroller category as well lol
