The thing about nidalee's pounce is that it feels so rewarding, when farming minions you need to get good positioning to proc the aoe, you need to plan your rout carefully when running so you can make awesome jumps, furthermore her pounce seperates the good and the great nidalee players. Just think of Nidalee's jump as a skill shot, it takes "skill"

The only thing that holds most people back, is the price of runes (especially people new to the game), why buy cdr glyphs and dual penetration marks when you can get a cute bear?
However I see the point you are making, and for good old days sake lets go farm ip for runes.
