  • posted a message on How did you find your main champion ?

I don't really have a main but if there's one champion the closest would probably be Jarvan IV. When I first saw his ultimate in action, I knew I had to play him.

Oh my God.  Posting twice because this is big news.

Aatrox, in his initial in-game pictures, and on his Splash art, has a beastly gauntlet on his right hand.(I'm a huge sucker for Gauntlet's)

AND HIS SWORD IS IN THE LEFT!

As a lefty, this just made my day.

As a lefty, I'm happy to see a left handed character in video games as they are quite rare (I think League has the most amount of left handed characters I have ever seen).

I wonder how long will the cooldown be for the healing portion of his passive? Wouldn't it be funny if it didn't have a cooldown at all?

My money goes to one of the Asian teams. Both the NA and EU teams are much easier to scout (just watch LCS) whereas the asian teams are harder to read.

I really love Guinsoo's Rageblade on Jax. Trigger the passive of Guinsoo while having your ultimate active and you'll feel like a God.

  • posted a message on Champ select and learning to trust your team mates more

So I've read a lot of stuff online about where players are experiencing trolls who would pick some weird champion where they would be forced to dodge games because who seriously wants a Sivir, Heimerdinger or worst an Evelynn (pre-rework) in their team? While I understand the feeling, I wouldn't write them off as trolls that easily.

While there are some legitimate trolls out there who would pick <insert lower tier champion here> with Revive + Clairvoyance. There are a lot of really good <insert lower tier champion here> out there as well. How do you tell them apart? It's not always easy but their summoner spell choices will usually give you a good idea.

I just learned to trust my teammates in champ select more. Enemy first picks Cho'Gath mid and my teammate picks Katarina? I trust the Katarina enough that I won't comment on her pick, I won't force anyone pick any flavors of the month and I'm gonna trust them enough if they decide to pick some weird ass pick like Heimerdinger. Heck, I've had at least 2 games where a Heimerdinger carried the game for us.

Telling your teammates things like "Are you sure you wanna pick X?" or "You just had to pick X?" or "They picked <counterpick here>!! Why did you pick X?" or worse just outright flaming them is just not gonna do anyone any favors. If they were actual good players then inserting a negative attitude so early in the game will usually negatively affect their performance as well, if they were legitimate trolls then it doesn't even matter what you say so it'd be better to not comment at all.

If they end up having a hard time because of their matchup then help out. Don't go sprouting passive-aggressive messages and definitely don't flame them. Just support them on whatever way you can. Go ward for their lane and gank whenever possible, I don't care if you're the ADC or the jungler. Just ward and gank for that lane.

I started on Bronze IV (those placement matches were both funny and annoying) and worked my way up to Silver I, got into a losing streak, became inactive and fell down back to Bronze and I'm gonna start working my way back up again.

What I learned on my way up was that there are a lot of players out there who are really good with <insert lower tier champion here> and what I learned on my way down is that forcing them to play whatever's the current flavor of the month isn't gonna win any games.

Will there be some trolls/bad players? Definitely. But in the end it'll all work out one way or the other if people trust their teammates more.

  • posted a message on Can ARAM benefit your play?

It helps with better skillshot dodging, kiting and better team fighting. Biggest thing I learned in ARAM is how to better handle poke comps, I've been in countless ARAM's where the enemy team is extremely poke heavy and our team would have little to no poke at all, but have strong initiates.

It really drives the point home that really strong initiates beat out poke and really strong poke beats out initiates.

  • posted a message on As Zed what do u max first?

In lane, I tend to max Q, it's safe ranged harass where you don't have to use your Shadow.

Whenever I play as a jungler, I always wait for the enemy Zed to use his Shadow first before I go in for the gank as this means he'll only have his summoners to escape. So having your Shadow available whenever you might need it as an escape mechanism really helps out.

Philosopher's Stone is my usual go-to option if my champion has mana, I'll upgrade it later into Shurelya's Reverie or in very rare cases I'd upgrade it into Ohmwrecker.

If my champion has no mana (or if I need defensive stats) then I'd upgrade it into either Aegis of the Legion or Locket of the Iron Solari, I usually tell my team as early as the first minute that I'll build the item so that there aren't any conflicts.

Very rarely do I go for Tiamat or Warmog's Armor. The only times I do end up upgrading for those items is if I consider either of them to be core for my build.

  • posted a message on Zac's Strengths

Early game (pre-6) Zac is his weakest. His ganks are great in that they come from a lot of unexpected angles but he doesn't bring enough damage and his slow isn't that strong yet so you'll have to rely on your laner to provide the damage needed, plus if you miss your slingshot then chances are your target will just walk away (you'll be able to burn his Flash though). His dueling is just plain bad, assuming his passive isn't burnt yet then he can survive duels long enough for his allies to come assist him but he isn't going to just outright win against anyone unless they did something stupid.

Mid to late game is where Zac really shines. He's beefy enough to survive even without his passive, his damage is high enough that you just can't ignore him and his CC is quite strong now that they have ranks in them.

  • posted a message on How to increase jungle CS?

Cover any lanes that you can, take some jungle tax and don't forget to grab your small camps in between trips. I've had a similar problem before and a friend helped me realize that I wasn't taking my small camps enough and that I didn't really cover any lanes.

Grabbing your small camps often really does help a lot. Back then, I would find myself low on health after a gank or an invade and I would just recall back to base and ignoring my small camps but I realized that chances are you'll still be able to finish off a small camp even if you are low on health, and that small amount really adds up in the long run.

If you see an ally low on health then tell them to not worry and go back and you'll cover his lane while he's gone. Most of them will agree as they realize that they'll probably get dived if they don't recall back to base. Just make sure that you freeze the lane and don't push it out, and if you do push the lane then drop at least 2 wards on that lane to help them out.

Jungle tax also helps a lot.
