This really depends on the carries, if either is fed, go for the fed one, whether it be to peel or to dive. It also depends on your team composition, if you have say, Vi, Kassadin or Zed on your team, that obviously is much more suited to diving than it is to peel for your team's AD carry.

If you only kill one camp then you stay at level one.

So I was playing a game today in normal draft with two friends. My friends played mid and AD carry, with me being the support. The champions picked on our team, were in order: Gangplank, Nunu, Tristana, Anivia and Jax. The other two turned out to be premade, which meant that they had apparently already decided that neither of them would build tanky, with GP building Critplank, and Jax not even managing to build anything useful. GP went against a Pantheon in lane, and at that moment said "GG I got countered." My friends and I asked him why, and he said that Pantheon counters GP because of his passive. My friends and I thought that this was somewhat weird, as Pantheon's passive relies on him hitting you or using his stun on you, both of which Gangplank can avoid. This was already a bad sign to me. A little later in the game I found out that Gangplank was building Critplank and I told him to transition to a tanky build, but he flat out rejected that offer. Can someone help me with this? Or at least explain to me why this is such a problem in normals?
