Be a team player. It is VERY important to learn all positions well so you know how all the lanes work. At times you will be required to play another lane anyway so might as well.
Later on, when youve played for a few months, you can try (keyword try) to focus on a specific lane/champ, but you need to make sure you can still play all lanes at your current elo.

I also didn't see the sarcasm until reading the comments. Hard to get that across in text sometimes.

Thanks for the tier list update Elementz!
Just a suggestion, maybe certain champions could be placed on the list a few times based on the position that they would play. For example: Tier 1: Alistar (Jungle) Tier 2: Alistar (Support).
Do you think the Vladimir nerf will hurt him a lot?

I always like it when the underdogs win, so I hope to see Meat Playground take it. I've seen some of their games and they have some really excellent plays in their books.

Personally, I think top lane is in a fine place as long as you play safe. You might let your enemy snowball a few times while you're learning, but eventually you will realize how to prevent the snowball and play defensively when the enemy has the first kill. Also as you learn your champ, you will learn which enemies you can straight up engage and win, and which not.
One way snowballing could be prevented though is to allow minions to scale a bit. You can't really engage behind enemy lines before level 3 or so because of this reason, and then after the minions usually become inconsequential.I like the balance that some champions have a good lane phase but then a weaker end game and vice versa.
