Scaling Magic Resist Per Level

The following champions were updated to have their magic resist scale per level instead of remaining at a flat 30 throughout the game (Magic Resist: 30 to 31(+1.25 per level)):

 

Champion Changes

Amumu:

  • Curse of the Sad Mummy cooldown decreased: 170/150/130 Seconds, to 150/130/110 Seconds.

Annie:

  • Health increased: 424 (+76 per level),  to 460 (+76 per level).
  • Incinerate mana cost reduced: 80/95/110/125/140 Mana, to 70/80/90/100/110 Mana.
  • Molten Shield (all 4 changes below):
          • Duration reduced: 15 seconds, to 8 seconds.
          • Armor and Magic Resist increased: 10/20/30/40/50, to 20/30/40/50/60.
          • Mana Cost reduced: 25, to 25.
          • Cooldown reduced: 30, to 16.
  • Movement Speed increased: 315, to 320.
  • Void Ooze slow reduced: 28/36/44/52/60%, to 20/28/36/44/52%. 
  • Safeguard/Ironwill reduced: 5/10/15/20/25% Lifesteal/Spell Vamp, to 5/9/13/17/21% Lifesteal/Spell Vamp.
  • Glitterlance
    • Ability Power ratio reduced: +.7 to +.6
    • Mana Cost increased from 40/45/50/55/60 Mana, to 40/50/60/70/80 Mana.
  • Wildgrowth changed to: "Lulu enlarges her ally, knocking enemies away from them," to "Lulu enlarges her ally, knocking nearby enemies into the air."
  • Alpha Strike
    • Old Alphastrike: Master Yi leaps across the battlefield striking up to 4 enemies, dealing 100/150/200/250/300 (+1) magic damage to each enemy with 20/30/40/50/60% chance to deal 400 bonus magic damage to minions.
    • New: Master Yi leaps across the battlefield striking up to 4 enemies, dealing 100/150/200/250/300 (+1) magic damage to every target. If the first target is minion, it will be dealt 200/250/300/350/400 magic damage, and every additional minion target has 20/30/40/50/60% chance to be dealt 200/250/300/350/400 .
  • Highlander slow immunity increased: 6/9/12 seconds, to 8/10/12 seconds.
  • Meditate Mana Cost reduced: 70/85/100/115/130 Mana, to 70/80/90/100/110 Mana.
  • Bullet Time ratio changed from 65/95/125 (+0.2) magic damage per bullet, to 65/95/125 (+0.2) physical damage per bullet.
  • Double Up bounce damage increased from 115% to 120%.
  • Reckless Swing Cooldown increased: 8/7/6/5/4 Seconds, to 9/8/7/6/5 Seconds.
  • Damage increased: 53 (+3 per level), to 55 (+3 per level)
  • Desperate Power
    • Passive bonus mana per level of skill (75/150/225) removed.
    • New Active: Active: Ryze becomes supercharged, gaining 15/20/25Spell Vamp, causes his spells to deal 50% AoE damage, and gain 35/55/75 Movement Speed for 5/6/7 seconds.
  • Overload
    • Changed from 40/65/90/115/140 (+0.2) plus 7.5% of his max mana in magic damage, to 60/85/110/135/160 (+0.4) plus 6.5% of his max mana in magic damage.
    • Mana Cost reduced: 70, to 60.
    • Range reduced: 675, to 650.
  • Rune Prison
    • Snare reduced: 1/1.3/1.5/1.8/2 seconds, to 0.8/1/1.3/1.5/1.8seconds.
    • Plus max mana % in damage reduced: 5% max mana, to 4.5% max mana.
    • Mana Cost reduced: 80/95/110/125/140 Mana, to 80/90/100/110/120 Mana.
  • Spell Flux
    • Damage ratio increased: 50/70/90/110/130 (+0.35) magic damage, to 50/70/90/110/130 (+0.35) plus of his max mana magic damage.
    • Mana Cost reduced from 60/75/90/105/120 Mana, to 60/70/80/90/100 Mana
  • Stand United global ranged reduced: 25000, to 5500.
  • Health increased from 448 (+82 per level), to 487 (+82 per level).
  • Starcall
    • Magic Resist reduction duration reduced: 8 seconds, to 5 seconds.
    • Mana Cost increased: 20/30/40/50/60 Mana, to 20/35/50/65/80 Mana.
  • Armor increased: 18.5 (+3.5 per level),  to 20.5 (+3.5 per level).
  • Rake Mana Cost reduced: 60/65/70/75/80 Mana, to 20/35/50/65/80 Mana.
  • Hungering Strike
    • Damage reduced: 75/125/175/225/275 (+1) and 8/11/14/17/20% of the target's maximum Health as magic damage, to 75/125/175/225/275 (+1) and6/9/12/15/18% of the target's maximum Health as magic damage.
    • Mana Cost increased: 70/80/90/100/110 Mana, to 80/90/100/110/120 Mana.

  • Blighted Quiver passive reduced: Varus' basic attacks deal 10/15/20/25/30 (+0.2) bonus magic damage, to Varus' basic attacks deal 8/12/16/20/24 (+0.25) bonus magic damage.
  • Chain of Corruption Mana Cost increased: 100/45/50 Mana, to 120/45/50 Mana.
  • Hail of Arrows
    • Damage reduced: 60/100/140/180/220, to 55/95/135/175/215.
    • Mana Cost increased: 70, to 80.
  • Piercing Arrow
    • Damage reduction for multiple enemies hit increased: 15% per enemy hit (minimum 33%), to 18% per enemy hit (minimum 33%). 
    • Mana Cost increased: 70/75/80/85/90 Mana to 65/75/85/95/105 Mana.

  • Athene's Unholy Grail
    • Item Cost: 2950
    • Recipe Cost: 500
    • +80 Ability Power +40 Magic Resist +15 Mana Regen per 5 seconds +15% Cooldown Reduction Passive: Restores 12% of your max Mana on Kill or Assist. UNIQUE Passive: Increases your Mana Regen by 1% per 1% Mana you are missing. Does not stack with Chalice of Harmony.
    • Components: Fiendish Codex + Chalice of Harmony + Recipe (500).
Existing Item Changes:
 
Morello's Evil Tome:
  • Item Cost reduced: 2350, to 2330.
  • Recipe Cost increased: 245 to 440.
  • Components changed: Blasting Wand + Fiendish Codex, to Kage's Lucky Pick + Fiendish Codex.
  • Added - UNIQUE Active: Inflicts target enemy champion with Grievous Wound, causing 50% reduced healing and regeneration for 6 seconds (20 second cooldown)
Haunting Guise:
  • Components changed: Ruby Crystal + Amplifying Tome + Recipe (575), to Amplifying Tome + Amplifying Tome + Recipe (615).
  • Stats changed: 25 Ap, 200 HP, 20 Magic Penetration ,to 45 Ap, 8% Movement Speed and 20 Magic Penetration.
Will of the Ancients:
  • Item cost increased: 2100, to 2500.
  • Recipe cost decreased: 465, to 440.
  • Components changed: Hextech Revolver + Amplifying Tome + Recipe (465), to Hextech Revolver + Blasting Wand + Recipe (440).
  • Stats remain unchanged.
Randuins Omen:
  • Default slow duration reduced: 2 seconds, to 1 second.
Sunfire Cape:
  • AOE damage increased: 35 dps, to 40 dps.
Deathfire Grasp:
  • Recipe Cost reduced: 600, to 530.
  • Ability Power increased: 60, to 80.
  • Active Damage as % of current health reduced: 30%, to 25%.
  • Components changed: Fiendish Codex + Kage's Lucky Pick + Recipe (600), to Kage's Lucky Pick + Blasting Wand + Amplifying Tome + Recipe (530).

    Athene's Unholy Grail great for any mid caster really. Not sure if it will be a better opening than RoA though.

    Ive done the math and if Ryze has 3000 mana a .5% mana scaling nerf is only 15 damage. However with only 200 ap Ryze gains 40 damage from the .2 ap scaling buff. Also the added 1% damage to his e, again when he has 3000 mana is 30 damage on each hit so that is a pretty large buff. Im pretty sure 3000 mana and 200 ap on late game Ryze is a reasonable amount. Oh i forgot the 20 damage buff to overload too. these are very obviously buffs for Ryze, who is already a very strong character. Do the math yourselves and you'll see how much of buffs these really are.

    How big these really are huh? You really want to see?

    This is based on your 3000 mana pool and 200ap, though the after section includes only 2775 mana as he loses some from the ult change

    Overload
    Before 140 + 40 + 225 = 405
    After 160 + 80 + 180 = 420

    +15 gain BUT range reduced to 650

    Rune Prison

    150 reduced to 125

    25 loss AND losing 10% snare duration at max rank


    Spell Flux

    + 27 gain

    AS YOU CAN SEE, adding an autoattack into his combo will make a bigger difference than these changes, yet you've listed them as obvious strong buffs...

     However he's losing Q range and snare duration. The movement speed will help make him a little less gankable and kitable, but its not great at early levels. His lane is going to be weaker, and the damage buffs are pretty unnoticeable.

    1. He desl way more dmg with less than 2k mana.

    2. His base dmg is way better

    3. His ult now gives a lot of MS

    4. His mana costs are way lower

    5 Spell flux hits normally 3-5 times (your 27 gets to 81-135) and then with his ult, he deals 50% AOE dmg, too, what increases the effect of the little late game buffs.
    Also the Q buff in dmg is a 4% buff late game, what is a decent amount.

    Ryze was always one of the best (probably the best) late game caster. These buffs won't make him a lot stronger late game, but a bit.
    At the same time they will make him a lot stronger early on, where he had his weakest phase (the phase to counter him, get an advantage and hold him down).

    => Pretty huge buffs, and I'm sure riot wanted to make his early game stronger, but also nerf his late game, and so they will probably reduce te AP ratio again a little bit (0.3) and nerf the mana scaling on Q (6%) and reduce the base dmg a bit (-5) and maybe even nerf W or E mana ratios (W:4% or E:0.8%).

    Bear in mind that snare reduction and Q loss of range is really going to hurt his early lane phase. Lane ryze is all about poking with Q and last hitting to get to the hugely strong end game. Bringing is Q down to 650 brings him in line with most other mages i.e. he can't get a free out of range poke at them anymore without taking harass back, which will probably hit him harderfrom most other mages early game.

    Ryze Buffs are so unnecessary... and the new item, Unholy grail thing. its soo perfect for ryze >_< like wtf? this patch is so oriented around Ryze and other AP mids.

    Spellonyew are you kidding?? These aren't Ryze buffs. His scaling from mana is being reduced, and his scaling from ap is being increased. Therefore to reach the same level of damage he was at before this patch, he will have to build more AP items i.e. will be far less tanky than he is at the moment. Also how is Athene's Unholy Grail perfect for ryze? It has mana regen, not mana. Sure the mana sustain early on may help, but really with most ryze builds that will be fixed with far more useful items for later in the game. I'm not sure you've really understood this patch..

    The listed cost of Grail is quite a bit higher than the sum of the parts + combine.

    890+1245+500=2635, not 2950.

    Personally, making Shens ult not global is probally the best change they could do.  Giving some items some love is nice, along with the small buffs and nerfs,  but Shen needs this nerf.  Also, loving the item for Galio, looks amazing.

    First off, good morning/afternoon/evening to the community. I read the title of this post and I just had to read it ASAP, so here are my two cents regarding the changes written above.

    #1 - Kog'Maw's Void Oooze slow percentage decrease might not seem much but it will be quite noticeable and it will make him closer to other AD carries as I believe he stands a bit too strong right now. It will at the very least make it harder to land his ultimate.

    #2 - The changes to Master Yi's Alpha Strike sound interesting as far as jungling goes and might contribute to make him a more viable pick and a stronger jungler overall, with better clear times.

    #3 - I was delighted to read about Ryze here. Even though every nerf seems to come with a buff, I think the changes will make him a more steady character throughout the whole game instead of a weakling earlier and a monster later. The reduced mana cost and the increased base damage on his bread and butter ability will give him a better harass in lane and a much more dominant early game where as the reduced scaling abilities have with total mana will hinder his late game not by too much, but enough to make a difference and make him more balanced overall.

    #4 - Dear Shen - I never thought I'd live to see the day. The range nerf to his ultimate was much needed and will prove invaluable in making Shen a more balanced character. Besides, this change will also lead him to being more played since he'll probably be less banned from here on out - and I do like playing Shen, so I'm happy about this.

    #5 - The DRASTIC mana reduction on Talon's rake ability will definetely make him be picked a lot more and maybe even banworthy. His burst will stay the same, but his harassing capabilities will be a lot better since if this changes are actually applied, he'll be able to use rake a lot more often. Long story made short, his laning phase will be a lot better and he might now have very good odds of winning against no sustain/bad poke bruisers top even if they stack armor.

    Regarding item changes, I really like the new item which seems tailored for Galio and very mana starved champions like Anivia. Morello's Evil Tome changes are Meh and won't really affect me since I don't use it in any of the APs I currently play, where as WotA nerf made me and my dear Vladimir quite sad. I might delay WotA a bit now and only get Hextech Revolver during laning phase.

    TL;DR - Patch notes, if this is released, are awesome. GJ Riot.
