40 damage off seems harsh but her pre 9 power is only hurt a little, her pre 14 is hurt the most, her late game is more or less the same.

They really need to make Lord Van Damm's Pillager available in 5v5's, i hate Youmou's and i need something better to do with my precious Brutalizer. Anyone know if they are planning on making it available in Season 3?
As for Wooglet's - Seems like they took Zhonya's and Rabadon's, smashed them together and then didn't bother adjusting the price.

For all of you asking about Varus, there is another PBE update telling how skillshots will receive a slight change, so ranges have to be reduced a little. Why Corki and Ezreal are not touched upon is beyond me though.
All in all I like this patch, just because Zed look like a creative input to the game. So I guess I may question the patch in itself regarding how Riot reacts to champion changes based on change to skillshots. Of course, QoL to skill shots is a Good Thing (TM). I sure also like the new champion.
Edit: Reading through abilities I can see Zed has no scaling, except for his ult. While that may change, that makes for a weird build. Is he just supposed to go all tanky and no fun, that makes for a dull man. Ok, he won't have to think about mana, or items for harass. So AD for trading perhaps, or just defensive items. He has no sustain either, of any kind, and no shield. Where does that place him?
He can Q much like Kennen, with the added bonus of penetrating targets. Though with no scaling, so little reason to go for spell vamp items which have AP elements to them, as those will be wasted. He can even shoot dual Qs when using the shadow, to cause 0.7*damage and 0.35*damage on a target covering behind minions. Zed can regain some energy this way, though that will only yield a positive result when W is on higher ranks. So this dual Q seems quite expensive in energy for little gain.
Zed can use W for initiating a gank on top lane, as it will slow, and then reposition himself forward. And so far my favorite - to escape a gank by throwing the shadow to an advantageous position to which he can reposition. The opponents will have to decide on which ones to move for, Zed or the shadow. If able to he can also throw off an E, to slow any chasers.
E I can't really figure out for now. It's pretty expensive, but also on a very low timer. So low Zed can use it twice with every shadow. W+E seems like Zed's main dueling tools (where as Q is for harass). The problem with a full engagement is Zed spends a lot of energy, and has no defensive measure after this, though your opponent is slowed for a short while, which can be used to disengage somewhat. On early levels this can produce 240 damage (W+E and E again three secs later, for four times damage), with E at rank II this can burst for 360 damage, which is pretty mean damage for a three second window at level 3. It's more likely to force the opponent to shift position and deal 180 and 270 damage. Alternatively the combination can be carried out in an alternative order, so go in to E once, trade with two aa, W+E, then W again to reposition because the opponent will want to get out now...

@Yaamahri, where have you seen the info of 1:1 bonus ad scaling on Q? Would be good news for the Zed man.

How often have we seen champions that were considered UP or underwhelming be OP? Hint: Ezreal was one of them. People were saying to max W was retarded then all of a sudden he's in every game. Ashe is making a huge comeback, too. Who's to say Soraka isn't really fucking good and just unpopular?

I'm guessing it's just a tooltip clarification. The (0.4*AD) will actually show the mana restored.

I couldn't tell you about the Irelia thing, but I think it's a typo. LoLWiki lists her range at 1200 on Transcendent blades, so 1100 seems about right. And these aren't intended to be nerfs. If you read the last post before this one, they're scaling back skillshot lengths in response to a new method of skillshot detection that should reduce inconsistencies. This is to eliminate missed hits at extreme close range and to create more reliable hitboxes and eliminate the phantom hitboxing that causes recently-dissipated skillshots to hit. They should still play identically.
