Unoffical PBE Patch Notes for 11/6/2012

Passive Q W E R

Champion Changes


  • Bandage Toss [ Q ]: range increased to 1100 (up from 1075)


  • Transcendent Blades [ R ]: range decreased to 1000 (down from 1100)


  • Javelin Toss / Takedown [ Q ]: range increased to 1500 (up from 1450)


  • Piercing Arrow [ Q ]: range increased to 925 (up from 875)


  • Had most of his skills reworded in various ways.
  • Death Mark [ R ]: The 1*AD Damage returns, the shadow now spawns behind the target, and lasts for 4 seconds. Now using Death Mark again will make zed switch places with the shadow. (all other effects are the same)
  • Razor Shuriken [ Q ]: No longer does flat 70% damage to each enemy after the first, now does "and 49/77/105/133/161(+1*AD)physical damage to each additional enemy.". Each additional shuriken striking the enemy now deals 50% less than the previous shuriken, (returns energy was removed from the tooltip)
  • Shadow Slash [ E ]: Now slows for 30/35/40/45/50 % (up from 20/25/30/35/40 %). Additional shurikens that hit the same enemy no longer slow by a flat 50% , now enemies hit by both are slowed by 45/52.5/60/75 %. Range is now 290 (down from 325)  (returns energy was removed from the tooltip)

    Zed's Q is the same as Kennen's Q. I'm looking forward seeing him mid as an ap counter!

    riot considers BT to be the deathcap of ad casters but its not fair that they expect us to build glass cannon, fall off late game, and lose all hope when we die and are unable to regain the stacks. If only there was just 1 ad caster specific item that gave ad, health, cdr, spell vamp maybe, so ad casters could have a chance of surviving late game. As it stands if nothing is done zed is just gunna join talon, pantheon, khazix and others in the "never gunna be played in a tournament" group.

    The fact, that AD caster itemization suck is acualy pretty old story but they plan to "make AD casters more viable in S3" (different resist penetration calculation will help burters immensly and in TT tere is item that does pretty much what you want if i recall, build from HoG and brutalizer).

    so you saying that he got mana from his skills just from hitting? or is it saying that you can use the dbl hit thing anymore. kinda got a little lost here? help >.<

    You still get energy back when you and your shadows skills hit the same target. They just took that part of the tool tip off of the q and e because it was kind of redundant since it was on the W already. It works exactly the same as before, in fact all of the skills do they just changed the tool tips to make it easier to understand.

    His E and Q, would restore energy if he and his shadow both hit the target. That was removed from the tooltip.


    However his W gives energy as part of the skill

    Zed's shadow dashes forward, remaining in place for 4 seconds. 
    Reactivating Living Shadow will cause Zed to switch positions with this shadow. 

    Zed's shadows mimic his abilities. If an ability strikesany target twice, Zed restores 20/25/30/35/40 energy. Energy can only be restored once per mimickedability.

    Additional shurikens striking the same enemy deal 50% damage,but restore energy.


    But now says

    Additional shurikens that hit the same enemy deal 50% less damage than the previous shuriken.

    the last PBE changes were never intended to be a nerf. they are trying to redo the way they calculate skill shot ranges, this means theyve had to tweak the ranges a bit to get them to go just as far as they currently go on the live. these changes should have 0 NO effect at all on the champions themselves and should not be accaunted as buffs or nerfs, no matter how the tooltips may shift the stated intent of riot is to have skillshots under the new system travel just as far as they did on the old system.
