RoG Article Recap
Champion & Skin Sale: Jailbreak!
The deep, unsettling howl of sirens echo in the distance. Unmistakable by any citizen of Noxus, the alarms can only mean one thing: prisoners have escaped Noxian detention.
The brush rustles and parts slightly, revealing Destinys barrel.
- Phew, just you, summoner. We dont got time to chit-chat. No one, not even the strongest Noxuss got, can contain ol Jailbreak Graves. Hell, Ive got jailbreak right in my name. Ill tell ya what, though. Wouldnt have made it out of there without some friends on the inside. 487 RP
- Blight Crystal Varuss nimble as he is reckless. Kid damn near got us caught twice. Once he got his hands on that bow of his well even I can appreciate that kind of talent. 487 RP
- Youd think that Noxian High Command wouldve put Rugged Garen in some highfalutin maximum security facility. Good thing he was participatin in Movember the facial hair threw em off. 487 RP
- Sejuani cleaned a bunch of Noxus clocks on her way down to the stables, saddled up Bristle, and booked it for the gates. One jump was all it took. Yever seen a boar fly? I have. Friggin magical. 487 RP
- We didnt even know Skarner had been captured, but Sej found em all chained up in the stables. Guess they had nowhere else to put the poor guy. I saw him last at the rendezvous point hard to miss a scorpion that purple. 487 RP
- Speakin of high security detail, Jarvan IV had guards glued to him like flies on Bristles butt. Lucky for Jarvan, that pointy stick of his didnt stop for no one. 487 RP
Plan? Yeah, we got a plan. Step one is gettin the hell out of here. We gave em the slip for now, but those Noxus dogs will come sniffin around for us sooner or later. Youve got from November 27 to November 30to take advantage of our mischief-makin before we skedaddle out of Noxian territory. Keep your eyes open, summoner. Noxus dont take prisoners. Well, cept for us, I reckon.
eCommerce Question of the Week
Hey Hippalus! I would like to know one thing... if you guys change the rune prices for something lower, the players that already had bought all runes will receive the difference between the new price and the price that he paid for?
No. I'm fairly certain there is not a single company in the world that does that, because it doesn't make any sense. If a company charges $5 for a virtual item, or a computer game, or a book, or a hamburger, and then decides to lower the price to $4 at some point, they don't give $1 to everyone that ever purchased it. Because then they might as well have priced it at $4 all along and avoided the hassle of massive numbers of refunds.
Video games are probably the simplest example. We know when we buy them that they will be cheaper in the future, but we buy them because we want to play them now and we'll get to enjoy them longer than the people who wait until the price comes down. That doesn't mean we feel ripped off and the game company should refund us all when the price is inevitably lowered.
At Riot, we sometimes make an exception for people who buy something right before the price is lowered or it goes on sale. That is more than most companies do.

Posted 11/27/2012 6:09:08 AMOMG, You could already ult Mid from blue with Nami, her ult is now semi global. Gank mid from bot!
Actually, her viability as a mid lane is a bit bigger now, since she can help in fights in both bot and top with that almost infinite range.

Posted 11/27/2012 5:33:18 AMCan someone from PBE tell me: Is Nami's ult really as broken in lane as it seems? Cause I have a feeling that it's so huge that you can't dodge it in lane and it makes every initiation with it succefull, which makes like 99% chance of succeful gank started by it.

Posted 11/27/2012 1:16:50 AM#1. I'm not a fan of these melle/ranged only things. Super lame, plus make my Kayle life a living hell.
#2. I'm not a fan of most the new splash art. Simplicity is a good thing sometimes. Especially Morde, he looked less scary before, more like an Angry Alphonse Elric.

Posted 11/26/2012 10:57:25 PMDamn, did they HAVE to nerf the GP10 side of Avarice blade so much. I really want to be able to use it on my support Ashe without having to steal CS. Doesn't this also work against the Idea that it can work as a buffer for not getting CS because you've been pushed out of lane? I forsee it being a HoG case, snowballing lanes further instead of doing it's job. If the bonus gold on kill is making it too powerful then I suggest that be nerfed slightly instead of the other way around. A bonus 1 gold per minion is still good.

Posted 11/26/2012 11:11:08 PMAvarice Blade, as it is, already is a fairly niche item, as only certain champions will be able to use it to great effect (Gangplank, most notably, but also support Ashe, possibly Garen, or other champions that rely heavily on crit).

Posted 11/26/2012 11:46:30 PMIt used to be a niche item because of it's build path, not its stats. A lot of bruisers still love the Crit from TriForce. Also, Atmog's was so widely used that it got nerfed. If a champion would now be 'forced' to go for an Atma's (or even an Executioner's) in order to snowball their lane, I don't see too many that would complain. I concede that it's much more niche than HoG, but I don't think it's so niche as to stop it from being a problem.
